SIAP, but I just saw this article from SDS. Gruden showing his recruiting ability getting Hurd to stay for his Jr season after wanting to leave at the end of his Soph year.

Butch used him in the I-Formation in the bowl game, and then, I believe, not again after that.

Jon Gruden allegedly helped convince Jalen Hurd to return to Tennessee for his junior season

Butch Jones should be fired simply because of how badly he handled personnel issues here.

Playing Jalen Hurd out of the spread was the second dumbest decision I've ever seen a coach.

The worst was another Butch Jones decision. Keeping Alvin Kamara on the bench for 1.5 years.

See? You get it but you still don't get it.

That's EXACTLY what this thread is. It's not for debating about whether or not Gruden will be a good college coach, it's not for dissecting his record. It's really not for anything but hanging out, having a good time, and hopefully get a little info now and then.

No one here feels the need to defend our choice in wanting Gruden. We aren't thread hopping trying to convince others to convert because we don't care really.

The regulars in here made up their mind about Gruden years ago.

I feel most folks are grown enough to decide who they want as a coach without being told how wrong they are.

Like someone said earlier and way better than I can, this thread is the tailgate party of the forum.

The sooner you realize that, relax, realize we don't want to discuss or argue or debate, the quicker you'll start to enjoy this thread.

Relax, let it go, let the Gruden wash over you (or not) , but just hang out, join in the jokes and convo, and take it for what it is.

Yes, he has several reasons both professionally (MNF) and personally to be in Tennessee this weekend so that's not surprising. To go negagrud, if he was considering taking another man's job then he wouldn't be hanging in public when he's well aware of all the rumors.
