How many followers could I get if I arranged a mob to go beat down the doors of Dave Hart's office, and tell him the fanbase is demanding to know what the F is going on?

Just my opinion, go ahead and blast me for being a positive fan and not thinking a coach that has won at least a share of his conference in 4 out of 6 years as a HC, got 2nd once, and has only had one losing season, his first at Cincy. We could have done a lot worse assuming he doesn't turn us down as well.

Carter I've been reading and enjoying your post for some time now but I've never seen someone become a defeatest so abruptly......If it's Butch Jones and UT is indeed this desperate....so be it.....I'll find something else other than UT Football to occupy my time

If this hire ends the way it looks like it is going to, I will have more free time this coming football season.

I will not support a program run in this manner.

I know that it won't matter to them if I go, but enough people will feel like me eventually. Something has to be done.

I feel like I want to divorce UT. I can't in my heart, but at some point you have to get something in return as a fan.

We are getting nothing. No one on The Hill seems to care.

I want a guy that WANTS to be at UT over a guy that has to be dragged in kicking and screaming. Butch Jones wants to be here, and waited on two BCS schools offers to see what happened at Tennessee. He will bleed orange and give his all if he doesn't refuse the job. He is a major upgrade over Dooley and when everyone gets over it not being Gruden you will see.

BC is out, sorry for not blindly being positive about Gruden and trying to actually discuss things in the thread that has been my home for months. What little sanity this thread had has now gone, and I cannot stand this amount of negativity.

Go Vols and Coach Jones if you actually take the job.

Hope you are still around Carter, I've had a beast of a time getting on VN all day. If Jones is any good and he's already banking a million dollars, He is a damn fool to take this job unless he's assured that the academic side is straightened the F up.

That said, I'm sick of this. Vanderbilt made a committment to football, I'm not seeing it here. It's a pissing match at UT by college educated adults,. That's not Jones' fault. He's in the same position Dooley was in(and I'm not saying he's the same coach, he clearly is a good coach.) If he gets a giant pay raise and ignores the issues, thinking they don't matter or he can overcome then, then he deserves what he gets.

I can't take these servers right now. I read this site from 7PM until 7AM, but I at least like to have some idea of what's going on. The server overload is killing me. However, I have every bit of confidence in Freak and his abilities to corect the situation, I just wish it was an instant fix.

Why would Jones call a meeting with his team tomorrow?

Believe it was fortenberry who said no face to face meeting has occurred.

If he had the job, call the meeting tonight. It's still early.

I'm holding what I got here. That being said, I will burn this mother down if he takes the podium tomorrow.

For a SB winning coach? Dude, look at Jeff Fisher's contract. Never won one, coaches a lame team...7+ mil. No WAY we can afford 7 mil, and Gruden could easily go for more than Fish. We're going to pay as much as we need to, but within reason. 7+ mil for college is not reasonable

Jones is 12-9 in the conf. with Kelly's players. 23-14 overall.
