Yes that is true, but why (looking at my other two points), would the boosters risk their funds upfront, much less put them up for something such as a legal escrow account. It doesn't make sense at all. They have pledged the funds, but the Haslems and other boosters would simply say that hopefully my word is good enough...
Wow! Caller just asked Hyams if he'd heard that there were boosters that did NOT want Gruden. Hyams said "yes". The caller asked "is Haslam one of them" ? Hyams said, "I think that's fair"...anyone else...did I hear it wrong?
We countered Strong almost up to $4million, and others have said that he even accepted the initial offer, only to back off after sleeping on it. What would have done if he had accepted on Wednesday? "Psyche, Charlie!"
