Wow! Caller just asked Hyams if he'd heard that there were boosters that did NOT want Gruden. Hyams said "yes". The caller asked "is Haslam one of them" ? Hyams said, "I think that's fair"...anyone else...did I hear it wrong?

Yup, bet Haslam will love that

Yes that is true, but why (looking at my other two points), would the boosters risk their funds upfront, much less put them up for something such as a legal escrow account. It doesn't make sense at all. They have pledged the funds, but the Haslems and other boosters would simply say that hopefully my word is good enough...

I can tell you that you are just not correct, for an absolute fact.

You tell us to move on yet you're still here. You can leave anytime you want, no one's forcing you to hang out in this thread.

He's coming.

I did not realize that you were a believer. This adds credibility to the theory in my opinion of Gruden. Ron always brings solid info.

"I think that would be accurate"...I believe were his words. Wow.

You heard it right.

If true, I change my opinion. I believe we have a 0.00% chance of getting Gruden.

We countered Strong almost up to $4million, and others have said that he even accepted the initial offer, only to back off after sleeping on it. What would have done if he had accepted on Wednesday? "Psyche, Charlie!"

When Bielema got hired at Arkansas after everything we heard there, I realized that nothing is quite as it appears in these coaching searches...

Hyams said Tuberville would be good because he is "media friendly". Some of the most successful coaches are currently ones who dont hit it off with media. Saban, Spurrier, Meyer. In fact, 2 of those had public spats with media. Media want a media friendly coach, one that will give them info.
