But that's just it, surely it's already been asked and he's either answered and we agreed and then he moved the goal line so to speak.

Right now he's pretty much holding the job hostage in a sense, we should just get Pruitt and move on, let him bring who he wants and try to win.

It's not hard to hire a coach since every other school seems to be hiring a cosch within days of announcing they need one, we're almost a month in and all we got it BS rumors and holding out for a guy who apparently can't give a straight answer.

Nope. Hold it for as long as possible (within reason of course) until he says no. I'm not worried about one early signing period. I'm more concerned with the next five to 10 years of Tennessee football.

Pony up the damn money and hire a big name coach. FYI Butch's damn salary will end being about 6.2 to 7.5 mill per yr when you factor in the damn failure money (buyout). Hence, any rational person would say pay it on the front end - go hire that 8 to 10 mill a year guy!
