Official Jon Gruden Thread XLIX

Longer this drags out, Fulmer begins to make Currie look more competent than given credit. At this rate, every single school with a HC vacancy is going to hire a HC and assistants before Tennessee even has a candidate selected. I suspect SMU will have a coach before Tennessee. Pathetic!

does anyone really know wth is happening. If we go thru tomorrow without a coach this is going to get weird again

At this point he either needs ro s$&t or get off the pot, no need tobe dicking around like that. Yes or no, and if we do get a different coach he better not come out later and even hint that he was interested in the job.

Cause that will make it harder for the new coach

I believe that it's more simple than even that. Simply ask him what he needs to get to a yes. And then freggin give it to him.

Just to break up the monotony a little. .....is there any treasure on Oak Island or not?

That’s the most aggravating show I’ve ever seen, until the 180 for 180 comes out for this coaching search comes out. I think there might be something on the island, but I have a question. They pull up all these artifacts that date being made back to the 1700’s or whenever. Just because they are that old doesn’t mean they have been there that long. Maybe I’m missing something there.

I agree. I’d love to know why Miles isn’t a target? Wasn’t the rumor for a while Les was our fall back?

Sexton will have Pruitt rumored for every opening. Get ready to give him a raise every year. Miles should have been named coach on Monday. Give him 4-5 years. When he retires the program would be more appealing.

To be fair, Botch Jones was a HC when we hired him. Not sure it really helped him in the end. Winners win and the rest just do whatever it is they do. If Pruitt is a winner I guess it's all good. My only reservation is, "Does the guy WANT to be here?"

From Phil's press conference, that was something that he said that struck a cord with me. If they don't buy in and bleed orange, we are in for more heartache.

Peace everyone! I wanted Chucky and an all star staff. Clearly Chucky is a pansy and we will be better off without him. If he doesn't have the cojones to man up, I'm glad we didn't get him. We need someone with fire in their guts, and I guess Gruden has been sipping fruity drinks for too long.

If any of you had the chance to talk with Fulmer back in the early 90's when we were on the skids against bammer, you would know exactly what I mean by fire in his guts. There was a determination that CPF had and it showed in how the players played their hearts out for him and his staff.

Yall say what you want about the beav, I personally have enjoyed his contribution to this thread. Right or wrong, as long as this board is open the MIT_beaver will be remembered, by thousands of people.. where I come from that = legend . Take the info for what it is worth, quit bit$hing and realize it is ok to dream and sometime people need an escape . If all you nega a holes want rock solid sources go get them yourself. Don't complain because some info reported does not come true. There are some good enjoyable people in here whom I personally am interested in what they have to say.

Why is Fulmer sticking to well known and good SEC coordinators? Simple Gruden gonna run the offense. Knew for awhile DC was gonna be a tough choice.
