We need a good coach in a bad way. UGA allowed Smart to do it and see where they are now? He can add to recruiting and hire assts. to help with that. We aren't exactly bowl bound either so it's no big deal,IMO.

UGA was in a little better shape than UT is currently.

This. We make ourselves look foolish doing this every time things don’t swing our way. We had a great cause to do it initially, but wanting Gruden isn’t a great cause, it labels us as entitled fans, and helps the negative media narrative associated with us as it is.

Because we are UT, it's not the UT way.

To be fair, Botch Jones was a HC when we hired him. Not sure it really helped him in the end. Winners win and the rest just do whatever it is they do. If Pruitt is a winner I guess it's all good. My only reservation is, "Does the guy WANT to be here?"

From Phil's press conference, that was something that he said that struck a cord with me. If they don't buy in and bleed orange, we are in for more heartache.

Peace everyone! I wanted Chucky and an all star staff. Clearly Chucky is a pansy and we will be better off without him. If he doesn't have the cojones to man up, I'm glad we didn't get him. We need someone with fire in their guts, and I guess Gruden has been sipping fruity drinks for too long.

If he was truly here to shepherd in a change in UT’s culture, assist in ousting those in power, and restoring power to the fanbase (beyond the fact that this was not at all what his initial postings implied)- there wouldn’t be such a glaring need for vagueness, self-secrecy, revisionist predictions, and lengthy periods of absence. The “Grudenites” are basically on suicide watch. If he’s legit, they need him now more than ever. It would take 5 minutes tops to spill the beans on this forum with what information he knows while still being able to do so without revealing exactly who he is. Yet he doesn’t. If he wants to be the board-appointed figurehead for whatever this movement is exactly (which he clearly enjoys the psuedo celebrity of) he should be here for you guys, plain and simple. Instead, everyone is twisting in the wind with him providing nothing in tangible explanation

could that not be said about a half a dozen folks that bring crumbs that most in here also deeply believe in....Bubba, Atlanta VOL, UT PaulVol....etc. Those are individuals that are not just inside the White House fence, or inside the WH, they are actually standing at the wall of the Oval office with a glass to the wall !
