John Feinstein just brought up TN fans reactions to Schiano based on the Penn St stuff. He ended with asking if we would have reacted the same way if Gruden had been at Penn St at the same time and we would have offered him.
Just wondering if Gruden did actually sign the contract but Currie never signed it because he and Haslam wanted someone else. Maybe that's why they were so confident and were saying he signed and was a done deal. Just like everyone else trying to figure out what went wrong. That is the question and I doubt there is !
I wish he would! I like Clay Travis. But, sadly my Twitter feed is all Gundy and the sincere belief he is coming to UT. That means that everyone has suddenly forgotten what Currie and the HOH just did to us. :thud:

Nope. We wouldn't have. We would say, "he didn't know anything." It is ok if we refuse Schiano on the basis that we don't believe he is a good coach. That is sufficient. And not to mention the lack of transparency surrounding the hire. The PSU bit only added fuel to the fire after the fact.
Currie WILL imho make this hire and it will set us back another 10 years but Currie will be gone within the next two..... when it is to late...
Sorry to say but that is just my opinion
Correct. His current position as Chairman of the Board is powerful enough.
