I think PM implying that T's not ready, probably true. Its a big gamble that we may have to take but would rather not....
Ok. Because I am an eternal optimist...thoughts on this? Currie now painfully realizes his legacy is on the line with this hire. He has to be so spooked based on yesterday. Is there any chance that, based on the fact that he apparently began the process of getting Schiano 2.5 weeks ago, never seriously gave Gruden consideration? Does Currie, now panicking because of the massive pressure he is under, go and give Gruden whatever he wants to "get his man?"
Thoughts?
I like Tee. I just think he's underperforming as a OC. I like coaches who milk all the talent out of a player they can. Coaches who do more with less. Then when they get the good players at a better school, great things can happen. I just don't see it with Tee right now, but I've been wrong before.

SIAP, but this just goes to show that Currie was never serious about Gruden, never looked at Gruden, and probably never even thought about his name outside that one press conference question. Just ridiculous.
I thought Peyton was supposedly key in the Gruden deal. Now suddenly he is Haslams right hand man making calls for Schiano support? Am I missing something here? Peyton can get out if true and I mean it too. To hell with him if he's really that crappy of a person to side with Haslam. And not supporting Tee- get out due to that too.
The applicable law would be the Tennessee Open Records Act.

So long time lurker on here and finally decided to join. I think I've kept up for the most part and just want to say thanks to all that bring honest info and I feel like I've seen enough to know who those are. I don't claim to be an insider nor have any insider connections, just friends of friends who may be, and everything I have gathered from them lines up with ATL and no one on the other side of the aisle so to speak even knew anything about this Schiano deal until it all came out yesterday. Like I said I'm no insider and not joining now acting like I've been on here for years, but just glad to finally join there seems to be a lot of passionate Vol fans and very respectable people I wouldn't mind conversing with from time to time.

Sorry if already posted. Not a bad article by Staples.

Anytime something like this arises cause will be evaluated. So my answer is yes but I have not been told directly by anyone at this time.
The thing now is do not let up. Write, call, text, tweet. If you know anyone booster, player, BOT, legislators, make it your mission to help. This does not need to stop with Currie.
For those that are worried about the national media making us look bad. Stiffen your back and do whats right. Stand up for Tennessee and dont be a wilting violet in the face of a bunch of wind bags. Many people give lip service to giving your all for Tennessee and now is your chance. Dont go quietly or be shouted down.[/QUOTE]
Quoting so this does not get hidden
Evening folks, I havent been on the board for like 24 hours because Ive been busy engaged in the pointless exercise of arguing with the members of the national media and other outsiders criticizing our fan base and also trying to summarize the law as it applies to the schiano situation in 280 characters or less. Ive also probably ruined all chances of ever being hired as legal counsel at Pilot, which wasnt altogether wise given my desperate attempts to find a job back in Knoxville so I can get out of Charlotte. Oops! But I did want to pop in and lend my support to those being crucified for fanning the Gruden flames. Who cares who beaver is and whether knuck or Tuesday were insiders. Its the internet. I personally am a logical and calculated individual. That said, I was a fully committed Gruther. I chose to believe anything positive anyone was selling regarding Gruden while explaining away negative Gruden info. But I didnt do it because someone said they were an insider. If youre mad because you accepted as gospel something someone posted on an internet chat board, Ive got some ocean front property in Tennessee Id like to sell you. The Gruden stuff has been fun and its given me something to do at night. And while I realize its drawing to a close, Id probably be right back on the Grumor train given even the tiniest morsel of info.
Sad thing about it is... Haslam will not leave till we have a new governor. At least not fully. This is complete and utter bull****.Me too
Peyton can't play both sides of the field and I read that he was sending all the old VFL players tweets to get on board with Schiano.
Tee's are best shot and we need him back home.
If Peyton won't go to bat for Tee, then Peyton is not the Vol that I once knew and loved.
