well....I'm not real sure who you are, so...

Because of who my in-laws are, I don't want to be ID'd on here. Only because of privacy for one of them ;) I am almost tempted to ask him what he knows about all of this, but I'm not sure he would tell me, and I don't like to ask for too many favors from him.

I thought you had ID'd me and Harvester the other night on here. That makes me feel a little better knowing I'm not the only one in the dark :good!: If its who I think you're talking about he doesn't know anything I have already asked.

No. No. No

A long list of posters have said it’s all but announced

I understand, and I see the light behind that stuff.

But if the AD approved this dismissal- which Hoke said he did- that gives me absolutely no faith that this athletic director has anything positive for the football team in mind. I hope to be proven wrong.

Why, what do you think JJ did that got him dismissed?

If Currie knows he’s going to be fired (Hoke) and he’s doing the talking to recruits I see nothing wrong here.

Business as usual

Enter Hurd and others.

A fish rots from the head. I understand where you're trying to go, just don't agree with it, semantics or not. A team is only as good as its senior leadership (no, not class rank, AD and coaches). You alluded to this, but you're still placing blame on kids who have answered to said leadership. It's counterintuitive.

Yeah that’s fair. To be clear, I’m not taking any responsibility off the coaching staff. They have failed these kids. There’s no mistaking that. But we’re not talking about 13-year old players. These are grown men who have to take responsibility for their actions, reputations, and social media presence. At some point in your life, blaming your mistakes (or excusing them) on your leaders is an unacceptable response. That’s all.

We can split hairs over exactly who’s to blame but we can all agree this is a loss for all of us. Players, coaches, future coaches, fans, and school reputation.

All the information I've seen is that this was about the video.

Dismissing a kid- and announcing it via an interim coach live on a radio show- is classless. Did Jennings do something wrong? Yes. Does it warrant a dismissal, especially by an interim staff? Absolutely not.
