To those of you still holding on, why are you? Is it that hargis report? I mean, the og's that I've seen seem to be saying it's over. I'm just trying to figure out if there is any sense in putting any more hope into this situation. I will GLADLY move on if an official statement is ma....oh wait, there was one today wasn't there?
Never been 100%, but refuse to say its over. When the next HC walks to the podium and its not Gruden, then I'll say its over.
To be clear, I'm not a Gruden fan, but I do think he is the best answer for quick turnaround of program. I think his antics will get old fast. But I also believe he would have enough early success and bring the right Assistant Coaches such that the right successor would be on his staff and success could be sustained when he inevitably moved on to the next thing. That's just the way he is.
So with that said, purely to make it clear that I'm not blinded by Gruden love. The reason i still hold out hope is that nothing in any of this process makes sense. To believe what we are being told you have to accept that we have the worst run university in the country and that all the strings are being pulled by a bunch of red neck boosters that are so stupid and naive that they can be duped by a complete jerk (Gruden), his high roller lawyers in NY and an agent that is a known to be the biggest manipulator in the industry.
I don't believe we have the worst run University in the country. I don't believe our boosters are a bunch of stupid naive rednecks. I don't believe Gruden is a jerk. And ok, I do hate most lawyers on principal and belive LaMonte to be pure scum. But aside from that I go back to my original point. I will believe that it is possible until someone else is introduced as our next Head Coach.
