So I googled Tennessee next football coach and came across an Ohio state thread taking bets on our next coach! Golden, Strong, Patrino were 4/1 I think. Gruden 9/1. Most people were taking petrino and fulmer

AJeray, Coasty, Goat, Jake, Sam, Doyle, Smokey, Pattiy, Boro, Jay, OV, DTO, Gman, Wilson and any of my orange bruthas I may be forgetting...this has been a helluva ride and I hope once a coach is hired we will have a thread like this to hang and have fun! I also hope that the next coach turns out to be the F'n man and helps restore my faith in this program and hopefully have us back at the top, sooner rather than later. I also hope that we can all enjoy a day in Knoxville getting to know eachother and drink our asses off and enjoy watching our Vols kick some damn ass! I don't personally know ya, but by God I love ya!! GBFO!!!

Good logic Jake... With all that was said to have happened, then all of this info today saying no contact was ever made between Gruden and anyone from UT before today just makes no sense. There may not be a lot, but I would say there is at least a small chance this happens.

I set all of this up to get some of the trolls out of here. Now back to serious business. It has been fun either way and we have met some good people. It is still not finished.

It's that Alabama business model that keeps me wondering if this is really over...it very well may totally die down and arise again in December.

Until either we hire a new coach, or Gruden accepts another position other than throne he's in now...I believe the window is still open.

If gruden really wants to be a vol then he would work with us and become the coach. But everything we have heard from gruden side is pay this pay that meet my demands. it seems to be more about tha money and control than just wanting to be the next head football coach at TENNESEE!!! Freakin get somebody in here who want to kick some ass with ut and has our back to tha end. If your to big for my university I dont want your ass anyway. theres some coaches out there i will take anyday. I saw strong gettin fired up last jumpin up and down smackin kids on the helmet and beat a good rutgers team at there house last night. if he was at UT he would recruit better players more often and get them! And i gurantee no other coach is gonna talk trash to em cuz he would probly lay somebody out. just sayin im supporting tha next coach because he wants to be here!!

I wish I knew Patrick, I am as perplexed about this as everyone else. None of it adds up and I hope the truth coms out soon as to how all this went south. Not all the OG's info comes from the same source which for some may seem confusing. Will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

Deflecting = as much and Jon loves UT and appreciates their interest, he feels like this is not the time in his life he would be interested in coaching college football

Kind of how I see it... maybe it ends without Gruden, maybe it ends with him... either way i will still be holding to faith in the Vols

I'm in. I've always existed in the football forum, but now feel like I can never go back. At least regularly. I've enjoyed this thread immensely.
