I appreciate that. It seems to be the UT ad is very broke so each new round of small demands might be met with new discussions of spending cuts and or "tax" hikes. That could easily make more sense of this.

I totally agree. No way this thing got that far down the road without covering basics like staff money. Perhaps someone thinks that's an issue but they could've covered that over coffee 6 weeks ago. Doesn't make any sense

The narrative in here has been set up for weeks as a show down between Hart and the boosters. Well now we have it.

If deniability of the boosters negotiations have been an ongoing concern then it would be natural to leave Hart out of the loop, though his presser did seem to indicate that he had been clued in somewhat.

Hey Jake, is it possible that JG and Lamonte kept wanting more money or control issue every time they talked? Or like Basilio said about a month ago that Hart has a huge ego and doesn't like being told what to do by anyone and said boosters be damned I'm hiring who I want? I'm like you, nothing is making much sense.

Hold! Hold! Hold! Long time lurker first time poster in this thread. First, the odds are gruden isn't coming. However based off everything that's happened today I don't understand how "grudenites" can jump ship. Perhaps if u have inside info I can see u jumping ship but just based off the media today it's not really worth throwing in the towel. IMO it ain't done yet, one way or the other. I wouldn't be surprised either way. I'm full gruden but this is TENNESSE and we will be back, that u can bank on. Might be when I'm on my death bed but we will be back. Go vols.

Yep I was a FF regular. After I finally looked in the mirror and cussed myself out for supporting Dooley, I came here, I think JG II and never looked back. This place has made this board so much more enjoyable for me.

You know what I hate the most, the sense of enjoyment the sports media (radio and tv) seem to be getting out of today's news. Like Vol fans are a bunch of idiots

I'm still here. I'm not going anywhere. I love this place...it's my daily injection of Big Orange Football. I need it and I want it. I'm gonna be here regardless of what happens.

And my encouragement and clinging to hope isn't meant to build momentum. I'm just using my business sense as an entrepreneur that keeps telling me not to let it go because these types of deals die multiple times on a regular basis only to come full circle. I don't know that's gonna happen not am I counting on it...and I'm not crazy. It's business. An that's what this is. I'm gonna keep my eyes on it with an open mind!!!

Ok guys been getting up and dusting myself off today trying to not throw this phone out the window. But I just have to vent to you guys a bit. Now this is all based on ifs but IF Hart is to blame then we the fans, the communitty, the University and the team have been absolutey cheated. We have supported through years of uncertainty with passion and hope. We finally have a chance to generate some much needed buzz and hope and we couldnt "agree" to terms? Well I dont agree to those terms. Last I checked (and did several times last couple of years) LSU, Bama, and Fl all charge roughly the same for tickets as we do.

Keep in mind I have no facts and dont really know what went down just going with an IF.

Are we getting same level of AD support for our money?
