Not that I think we end up with him, but I don't get a) why jimbo fisher is on our supposed list and b) why the media fluffs him as some great candidate. The guy is a transparently bad coach.

Agreed.

I would not be happy with Fisher or Golden at all.

If you can't win in the fertile recruiting grounds of Florida, you can't win anywhere.

For those who have asked---I would hire Jim Tressel--if I was Tenn's AD.
"Tressel doesn't have SEC pedigree". Uh, either did Urban b4 crushing nor did Saban B4 crushing at LSU.

Here is a question that I will preface by saying I of course think Jon Gruden will be wildly successful here....but I have seen where people have said he isn't great at evaluating talent....anyone have thoughts on this?

GM makes decision along with their scouts info. Gruden did not want Johnson or King as his QB as stated in article above about part of interview on PTI being removed.

When Gruden's name came up before Dooley was hired in 2010, how long was it before he shot down the rumors of him potentially coaching to UT? The Longer he is quiet I believe the better chance we have on landing chunky and seeing him make those evil facial expressions roaming the home sidelines at Neyland next fall!!!
