Bandit? "Fine morning "........it's colder Than Beaver and Jon grudens heart, playing with Our emotions right now this isn't the Andy griffith stroll you seen on TV my guy

HA HA........

OK...Something to ponder. Why.....why would G do this now Jiminy may ask. 2012 is totally different than 2017. With the NFL in the shape it is in, ESPN loosing money like it is and with MNF attachment to both, it seems like now is the time. Above all of this, I think G’s legacy is starting to play. I don’t think he wants it behind a microphone. I think he wants it on the sidelines. THE GAME today is not the NFL, it has shifted in a big way to College and specifically SEC football. This and I think he has watched Saban and I think he would enjoy that challenge. He wants to be the one to take him down.

This is going to be epic.....I cant wait and I think, assuming the ink is dry, he is ready as well. It’s time for Currie to pull the trigger. The best time to announce is now. The media hype will take care of itself. AS my favorite band used to say, “it’s hotter than a fox in a forest fire” here.

Lets do this thing quickly and turn this page and look forward to a bright BIG ORANGE future....

At some point, those who run the show must demonstrate that this legacy...

is more than just bronze on a marble plinth.

Why not here? Why not now?

They either believe in this and will prove it or, by their actions, they will show that it means nothing to them.

Gruden is the best response to the calls for restoration of the tradition. If they fail in that regard (And it would be incompetence at a Cleveland Browns-level to play pretend if failure is what has taken place here.), then their Plan B had better be something that fits the ambition the legacy of General Neyland commands.

Well give this a listen and see what you think. A call in to Fox Sports Knoxville last night. I have to admit, the guy sounds credible.....

Happy Friday!

I am not saying this means Gruden is coming but is it just me or does there seem to be a lot of smoke coming from everywhere? I just have a hard time thinking Gruden would be trolling us this much. Maybe he is but it begs the question, why? Why play this game with a fanbase you know wants you and how they view you? Why lead UT on? I just dont get it. It makes no sense unless he just doesnt like Tennessee. But that doesnt seem to be the case. Or am I wrong?

It as I have said, if the Gruden des, falls through, then hopefuLly Gruden will publicly announce that he will NEVER coach at Tennessee in any capacity. At least that way any further coaching searches will eliminate him as a possibility.

There's so many threads this is the only safe space. Lol
Question. Are we sure we want this big of an ego stalking our sidelines? I guess the Gruden and KNS writers battles could be entertaining.

If a coach can win and develop players, then I dont care about his ego. Saban is a huge narcissist. I doubt Alabama fans care lol

His executive staff has been in Knoxville, and on Thursday, most people who are considered decision makers such as key contributors were in their offices or at their homes.

So does Gruden want the Tennessee job? Many we have spoken with say that he prefers the NFL to a college job. Others say don't rule anything out. At this point, how can you with neither Gruden nor Tennessee saying anything to slow down the rumor mill. One other unconfirmed rumor is that Gruden's wife was in Knoxville on Monday. It's no secret that they are looking for a home in the Knoxville area.

So what's the resolution the the Gruden rumors? There doesn't appear to be one unless Gruden takes this job or a hire is made

Ya know that old saying that nothing good ever happens after midnight? Well this includes fake news of Gruden saying no. Nothing would be leaked at that time of night.

That being said I still won’t believe anything on either side until I hear an official statement from gruden or his agent, or Currie, and see someone standing at the podium

I’m still hopeful however. This feels different than 2012 but could still end up that way. What a ride huh.

We can’t take much more of this so hopefully we’ll know something soon and don’t end up with Coach Butch Dooley McGoogleHim

Pill, no one has doubted you or your info. You gave us real, substantive information. So we thank you and appreciate your efforts. We truly do.

But tonight have proven Beaver is just a troll. And he deserves to be called out so other Vol Nation members don't fall for his act. He has not given one, single piece of information with any real substance. Look at his posts, they are all vague BS. Real insiders should not want a troll like this roaming the boards.

Thought all knew Beav was obvious troll from the instant he set up twitter. No grown man with inside info and mit education sets up twitter just to bounce VN rumors off of.

My thoughts on Hubbs and WMNL....they are using old tried and true methods in their investigation. This caoch search has been different. I think we are seeing the part where Currrie uses the establishment press to portray his position as the major power broker. This is the deal that was originally made..... Currie becomes the “deal maker” and establishes his position .

This is interesting and I'd call 100% bull, but the fact he said his mom doesn't care about the football aspect of it really struck me as interesting. Someone who works under Chancellor Davenport probably isn't very concerned with the ins and outs of athletics as much as academics. If this is true then Andrew is a hero for all of VolNation

True and I caught that as well. But, if his mom does have that position then she has made it be clear that any information she brings to him is to never leave their family.

That being said, today is a good day to do this. You would own the media today and into the weekend, you give the team and fan base a boost, and you would provide recruits a clear vision of where we are headed.
