Ok, gonna jump in to this mud pit before returning to do some work. Man this thread is a roller coaster! I enjoy the roller coaster because that just means that we have a rockin' passionate fan base.
As far as all of the momentum swinging to the negative, calm down. Just relax. I feel as if Bcarter's comments last night got taken a little out of context. He is a good guy. What he is doing is trying to mitigate the meltdown if something happens. You can't blame him. That is also why you aren't seeing many of the TRUSTED posters making the call of "It's done". Those who did in 2012 felt tarred and feathered when it didn't happen and they are probably reminded of those wounds as this roller coaster started again. Don't expect many of the verified insiders to do it, because the information isn't that abundant this time..and no one wants to have that stain again.
Just relax and be careful to put too much stock into what you read right now (including mine..lol) because I promise you this is not your normal flow of information. Yes, some things are leaked when some boosters get together, but true pertinent information with regards to the status of our HC search is very slim. Like I've said before, Currie has the info on lock. That is why I think you see such swings of info. Insiders and some people in the media who are used to being able to feed info are under pressure to do so. So they are doing a lot of reading between the lines and trying to give best guesses. That is making it hard to know what to trust.
I have been talking to people I trust the whole time and I hardly ever post anything I hear because it all seems like talk laced with bullsh*t. These are people I would have trusted with gospel a couple of years ago. In the last 2 weeks, those same people's info continues to sound even bullsh*ttier, so I've stopped trusting it as anything to base my feelings on. The one person I do know that I feel confident has every bit of info, has point blank said "we're not allowed to talk about it." I honor and respect that. I tried to pry out of him and got some body language and some reading between the lines that makes me feel confident and relaxed. Is it verified where I'm willing to make the call? Absolutely not. I will say I don't get caught up in the mood swings now. Also, I would admit that its possible I may have read more into it based on my desire for us to hire Gruden.
As always take what I say or leave it. Ignore button is right under my screen name if you don't trust me. I'm not looking for e-cred or status. Just trying to keep my vol brethren and sisters from needing months of AA after this is over.
