All within an hour, we have:

-- Gruden talking about how great a song Rocky Top is, on a Seattle radio station
-- Brice and Ramsey confirming something went down last night in Tampa involving UT AD and others
-- Wallace giving Vols fans a pep talk as if we lost our first choice, then backtracking

I can't for the life of me get these three dots to line up. #1 and #2 work well together, but #3 is all outta whack.

Anyone have a theory on Trey Wallace that fits with the other happenings?

I'm not sure Beaver even knows how Twitter works, he tweets at people but they will never see it. Which is sad, because he is actually a pretty good Tweeter.

It's probably a safe bet to assume he knows exactly what he is doing. I just am not buying the fact that an individual, who has thrusted themeselves into the limelight in these threads and likely enjoys the attention, establishes a way to "pump up the crowd noise" through selective communication methods. In other words, controlling the mood of this thread at opportune times by leaking tweets to the chosen few to spread to the masses.

Did anyone else listen past the end of those two twitter posts of the Seattle Interview?

Gruden said RISE TO THE TOP in a very pronounced way.

I am hoping that this is mostly for show or to do some clean up type of work on the contract. This makes it look like Gruden has just now started talking to us which gives him an out in regards to talking to us before ding dong was fired.

My dad is a Sr VP for one of the big corporate offices in Knoxville. I told him I wouldn't say which one. (Not Pilot, Goodys or Dish) (I have not payed to see a movie in over 15 years). Word around his company (which is a big big time donor to the school and has a skybox on the 50) is that the deal is close to done, (As of lunch today.) and could be signed as early as today.

He did say that nothing is guaranteed and he wouldn't call it 100% but that he knows for a fact the reports of JG reaching out are true. Also, they know nothing of Patterson being contacted by Currie. According to those at his work, as far as they know, Brohm, Venables, and Mullen are on the short list if our big fish gets off the hook.

In 2012 he told me that we had contacted JG but he never went any further than that and never acted like he thought there was a great chance we landed him. His tone is 180 degrees different today.

Bump* 😁 This lines up with what's being reported today. I think it's safe to say now that the info I'm getting is pretty legit. Should hear more soon

So do I have this right?

1. Gruden says he hasn't talked to anyone, but "never say never"

2. Media confirms that Gruden meets up with Currie and other big players to talk specifics.

3. Gruden specifically asks to not talk about the Tennessee job, but name-drops our fight song.

Strong agreement with some previous posters; either he's ours, or he's the biggest troll of all time.
