I agree. Gruden would be a home run all time hire. I just can't see it happening. I guess I'm just programmed to expect mediocrity

Currie will be one of a large team that should be congratulated for a lot of hard work behind the scenes in this thing. Gruden being the tip of the iceberg.

My wife converted to Tennessee fandom before she died in 2010, it was something that was special for us as well. And there are others here with spouses facing terrible illness (bigorangefish). And probably others who haven't spoken up.

We can support each other. Vols help Vols. If you, or anyone else is going through something like this, please reach out. Say something. Let us know if you need a little encouragement or support. There are people who understand what you're going through, and can be there through the dark times.

Just say the word.

You know what I learned once talking to someone who works a suicide help line. She told me that some people go days in their lives with no good news, no I love yous, no hugs, handshakes or anything.
She said that we never know when just one little act of kindness might make the difference.
So, if you see somebody without a smile, give them yours.

Currie has been in Tampa since last night with Jon Gruden, he has the offer and a deadline.

Deadline?? So once again all the insiders are pretty much wrong when they said for the 4th or 5th time that this thing was "done" last night. Well, celebrating for nothing I guess.

The fact that had been released isn't promising to me. It is something one would do to let the fanbase and everyone else know you have it your best shot. Hope I'm wrong here but that is just what it looks like to me.


I'm still gonna believe it's Gruden until it isn't though. It has to be.

They would never do that. They could trot out the coach from the waterboy to the podium in two weeks and they would say, with a straight face, that he was the top candidate.

Programs never ever advertise that they were rejected for the job. Letting everyone know you are asking would put them in that position.
