Wow.

Note: I'd be very cautious about believing everything that's
Going to come out over the next couple days. Anyone who had any kind of encounter with his is gonna make him out to be a terrible person no matter what was said

I wish that sh*t would quit coming out until Jones gets a job.

Who Mamaw?

yep , he was telling me last week that the HC for knox cath was in a meeting with Butch, Fulmer & Currie and that Currie told Matthews that Butch would be back.

But he did tell me that Gruden would be contacted if Butch was to get fired. He also had some good stories about Gruden when he was a GA

He would know. Right now he's just trying to figure out how to sell insurance. I bought some from him last year for my mom and it was a blast watching him trying to figure it out, Its a good thing those girls in the office know what there doing.

But to his defense he had just taken the office over

Agreed, that and the fact he's a turd of a coach :eek:lol:

Really don't want to put the guy down anymore than we have but you could make an argument that he was in over his head. Homer aside the SEC isn't for everybody no matter the conference you come from, record you had, or assistants you bring with you

I've seen this a couple of times, Swain being one of them, but judging by the players tweets today he was loved by a lot of them.

I have nothing good to say about Swain after today. He used his platform to publically bash Jones. I get it he's not a saint he did a lot of questionable things here but it doesent help the image of Tennessee if we've got former players going off the deep end.

Here's my opinion on that. I think what success he has had came because he followed Kelly around and the talent was already there and developed. Enter TN where the talent wasn't there and what was there had not been coached up. He just cannot develop players. I think if you switched roles and put Dooley in Jones shoes, there would be very similar career stats.

I agree with that.

If i could go back and combine the talent Dooley and Jones had a great coach wins a lot of games

Swain said what he felt like he needed to say. I respect that. The Helm story was eye opening, the treatment of Antone was horrendous, all the transfers, playing players out of position, etc. While Butch may have done some good things during his time, there’s also a side we don’t get to see. Flame me, but I’m glad people are willing to paint a clearer picture than what we are allowed to see.

EDIT: nvm

The Butch defenders will run to the hills and swear they never said a good word about him once all he's done gets out. The stunt he pulled with recruits today should have been enough, but I guess not.
