I understand why some of you are saying wait until after Vandy, but Butch has given so many reasons to get canned officially after the next loss.
1. His coaching is awful first and foremost
2. His handling of Kendrick situation
3. He is a grade A a**hole and caused a VFL to quit.
4. He is throwing shade at a 17 year old kid at a press conference for decommitting. I mean come on Butch!!
I mean theres probably quite a few more reasons I didnt name too.(losing to Kentucky) I just think if he loses to a bad Mizzou team he needs to go. I understand the timing of things, but its time if he loses to Mizzou. Theres no getting bowl eligible with a loss this weekend.
If they are basing the timing off bowl eligibility, then in theory they will wait until we are actually not eligible. I agree that a loss this weekend pretty much seals that deal but mathematically it doesnt. Then you have to ask yourself, is it worth it for UT to fire Butch with one game left?
I honestly believe that hes being kept on for a few reasons. I think the some of the players (seniors) honestly want to finish out the season with him. But more importantly, I dont think Fulmer or Gruden want Butch fired midseason. And if you believe Gruden is on the hook, and you believe that he doesnt like seeing coaches let go midseason based on his FFCA thing, theres no reason to do it except to appease a segment of the fan base. Additionally, I know there were empty seats last week but it was still a strong turnout all things considered. People want Butch out but if the timing is what the timing is, who cares as long as weve got our guy, which I believe we do.
