Cade is a big time recruit, no doubt. But I'm not buying that a 17 year old is putting severe pressure on Currie to move faster.

I believe it potentially has more to do with his re-commitment after JG is hired, to add to the momentum and positive energy when that day comes.

Currie knows that when JG is announced, all the fans, recruits and everyone else will be back. All will be forgiven in an instance.

Can't forget about Cades little brother. Rumor is that he will be better than his bigger brother. I hate to lose 2 recruits because of a bad coach.

People that are throwing other names out there and saying he would be a upgrade for us are missing the point. The standard we are after is Bama, being at the top of the sec. Many coaches would be a upgrade of Jones just like Dooley. 2 of the worst hires ever for a program of Tennessee's stature. It's time for Tennessee to get back to top winning form and get back to it's rightful place. Tennessee has everything to do that except a to coach and staff which it so rightfully deserves. It is impossible to talk sense into those that think Mullen would trade a $4.5 million a year job with low expectations to a $5 million a year job with our fan base's expectations.

I've given up trying to explain everything that's wrong with Mullen. But I'll sum it up in a very simple analogy.

Hiring Mullen would be like picking up the person passed over 15 times already at last call. You know in your heart they're not the best out there, but you're willing to settle for just anything at the moment.

I don't coach my high school athletes to set reasonable goals. We practice like state champions and we compete against other state champions. Do we always make it? No, but we end up in a better place as athletes and as men if we shoot for the stars. I don't want my athletes to be reasonable dads, reasonable brothers, reasonable boyfriends. I want them to go at like their ass is on fire and their hair is catchin'.

Mediocrity is never an option because, when you fall short of mediocrity, you get 0-8 in the SEC.

I don't know if we get Gruden or not but you damn well better believe I am going to make him lock me out of his house before I quit asking.

Per capita means nothing in this case. This isn't income levels. This is how many D1 players a state produces. Who cares how many players a state produces per capita? The most talent comes out of Florida, Texas, California: States with big populations. Their per capita numbers are probably some of the lowest. That is a meaningless statistic in the grand scheme of things.

I remember a recruiter from Wyoming (when we lost to Wyoming) say that there is one (1) D-1 player per 500,000 people. This make the per ca-pita factor very pertinent.

P90x3 is so awesome. I've been doing it for 2 years straight. It is only 30 minutes, but I'm in the best shape of my life. And I was a serious athlete in my younger days.

I’ve done every P90X multiple times. If you want to move up from there, I recommend the Body Beast program. It took me to another level.

So in his morning update, GV queried about the absence/silence of Boro, DTO, etc. I can't speak for those gentlemen, but I can say this from the two people who provided info to me. They both played distinct and specific roles in the process of identifying and hiring a new football coach. Their tasks were completed, and the process moved past their areas of involvement. They are not likely to have any additional relevant information for me until there is announcement. This is a good thing, and one reason I am 99% confident. If they were to have new information, it would suggest to me that we have hit a snag or that for whatever reason we lost our first target. This is my version of the "quiet confidence" that Boro and DTO reference.

Edit: Mullen chatter is garbage.

Preacher has been awfully quiet too. Hmmmm. Surely we needed an insider who could summon up some divine intervention to get us Gruden! I’m feeling really good about everything has played out!

I play Pokémon with my kids. Got to find ways to connect with your children. Mine are 13 and 10. They love Pokémon so dad takes an interest. My pops was a s***ty father so in an effort to be a good dad, I try to stay involved in what my boys are doing. I try to be a father, a friend, and a mentor. They know at times dad has to play disciplinarian as well.

My stupid ambulance chasing attorney brother wants us to get Mullen. My brother is one of those types that thinks he’s always the smartest person in the world. And, he would lie, cheat, and steal from his own grandmother.
My sister, on the other hand, is honest as the day is long.
But, due to her many addictions, she has been in and out of rehab and prison so many times that the only job she can get is as an “escort”.

No it means a LOT of their players go to the NFL despite a low population. Your odds of growing pro are greater than many states. By your account China is a better country due to population, so is India. Anyway...

My brother knows a guy on the board that isn’t going to be mentioned that has informed him tonight that 4 hours ago or so we inked a deal with the man himself Jon Gruden to be the next head coach of UT football, a booster at UT paid out all coaching staffs that aren’t sticking around buyouts and Peyton was the one in the meeting room that said Jon Gruden was the future of Tennessee Football and that was said with the backing of many people, the announcement should be leaking on Sunday and along with that he was also informed that with the signing of Jon Gruden, Cade Mays is going to recommit. I️ know this sounds like just another Grumor but it’s from a source I️ trust very much and although nothing isn’t a rumor until it happens this one is one I️ believe whole heartedly. With that being said GO VOLS!!!!! I️ hope this is all real life come Sunday!!!!!
