Patterson - yes
Peterson - heck yes
Shaw - not enthused
Harbaugh - yes
Miles - not enthused
Stoops - not enthused
Kelly - yes
Kiffin - no, please no
Venables - interesting

My opinion only....shouldn't be important to anyone else. Those names all move the needle in some way. None are my first choice but are consolation prizes that would keep me from turning my back on this next era. There are likely others. It's like porn, I'll know it when I see it.

The longer this goes, the more impressed I am with Currie. He has kept a TIGHT lid on this, which in today's anonymous internet environment is not an easy thing to do. I went back and watched his introduction and press conference from last year and I was really impressed with that as well. He seems to have a good grasp of the history of our great university, and wants to see us return to prominence!

Soon!!

don't think Gruden would want it announced until after the season, so as not to interfere with current coaches or their staff. he's big on that, personally. so if this thing does happen, i'd say you could pick between Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday next wee as possibilities. though i'd lean toward Tuesday since there's nothing right now that says he's not going to call the MNF game next week.

Our season is over Saturday afternoon. Our coaches know their fate and have known so since Butch was fired. If you're talking about coaches who may fill out our staff, who are they? We've all read the tweets about ex Tennessee players who may come home but that's not in stone either. None of those guys will be affected if our coach is announced Saturday. Do you see how this works? If Gruden is announced Saturday, he doesn't have to announce his staff at that time.

I have answered it many times, and honestly my opinion shouldn't matter to anyone else.

Patterson
Peterson
Shaw
Harbaugh
Miles
Stoops
Kelly
Kiffin
Venables

There are others that would fit my personal criteria.

I just ask that we move the needle, make it apparent we are trying to go big. I don't want someone with short-term experience or success in a non-P5 program. We have tried that route. I prefer SEC experience, but sustained P5/ NFL success as a coordinator or HC should be a minimum.

I agree with every name on that list except for Les Miles. I always felt, even winning he was winning, that he was more lucky than good.
