As much as I'd like to see Gruden to the Hill, I'm not convinced he wants to take part in the rebuilding of this hot mess, called the Vols, are you?

All we need for starters is one or two QB's with an arm and wheels. We all saw Dobbs. Can't defend them guys easily and it buys time to rebuild this decimated line. It's not like we're asking for 12-0 right off the bat.

No. No. No, dude. AlantaVol gave my family an amazing experience last night. He’s as legit as they come. Don’t ever say a bad word about him again. You hear me?

Yeah, he also offered to hook my family up. He’s not flamboyant nor over the top. He’s legit, good vol-blood.

The OP should be raized.

Sexton is making the mistake of letting himself become the story.

No smart agent ever wants himself to be the story; he wants his client to be the story.

Unless every time his name is brought up, his clients make phat chex. A+ grade advertising for your services.

"From what I understand his assistants don’t want to distract their current players, so out of respect to them they don’t want an announcement made until after next Saturday"

This makes sense and it is what I want to hear!! :)

AV is not Hubbs, or the riddler. Don’t have to read between the lines. He said there’s a plan, and then a plan beyond that plan (that he, but not everyone would like).

Some have taken that to say a coach it waiting plan. I believe if you have to go beyond the first plan to a plan most, but not all will like, that’s a plan B hire that’s not gruden (which is fine if we get the right guy).

Others have taken it differently. I think people are so honed in a Gruden they won’t consider anyone talkin about a 2nd option.

What if... We get Gruden, but he only agrees to come for one year. Then the “head coach in waiting” would take over. Possibly a coordinator with no HC experience that would shadow Gruden as an assistant HC for the first year.

From my outside view of this, there is more going on then we see, or that we think we know. There are a few in here that really does have access to some of the inter-workings and just because what they may decide to share doesn't line up from our perspective, doesn't mean they should be discounted. More levels to it than that.

One of my all time favorite movies.

This has been my opinion for awhile. It’s done so I reality what benefit is achieved by announcing before vandy? Beside pacifying the fan base.

Trust me I want to hear ignorance announced like a month ago. But at the end of the day as long as it’s finished then we are set. And it is finished

UCLA opened up
Chip will meet with them
Chip will most likely choose UCLA
Frost goes to Neb
They throw Hail Marys at Mullen
If the story about Mullen and Florida is true Mullen and his wife will split before he goes back there

I hope you are right because Florida fans on Twitter are celebrating getting Chip right now.

No sources, just a theory.

What if in negotiating Butch's buy-out a commitment was made to Sexton that a certain number of his clients would be interviewed for the position.

What if UT agreed to this commitment, but at some point Gruden talk got serious enough that a MOU was signed.

Enter Sexton, who screams bloody murder and threatens to blow the top off of the buy-out agreement, break silence, etc. etc.

Enter Haslams, who according to many have been more loyal to Sexton than to UT with regard to personnel decisions - who begin pressuring Currie to honor deal with Sexton

This leads to delays in completing final deal (beyond MOU) with Gruden

Again, this is hypothetical, with no sources. But is a scenario where you could have a "done deal" (MOU) with Gruden, but still have major hurdles to deal with (i.e. Sexton and Haslams), before finalizing and announcing.

Negotiated buyout?? Didn't UT pay the full amount in his contract??
