The fund raising email is absolutely fake. After reading again one thing that tips it off is the gate mentioned is not the gate that would be used for that type of event. And just to confirm I just called and asked someone about it and was told it was simply not true and made up.

Let's just say Gruden takes the job as head coach at Tennessee, the Vols won't start winning until he rebuilds the roster, because the talent level is way down for the Vols

Howdy Grudemaniacs!! I should say, fellow Grudemaniacs.....

It seems a bit down in here so I will re-share what I learned Friday night:

1. I'm at 50% on getting Gruden. While that may seem low, it is not. It means that we have offered, the money is right, and it is in Jon's court.
2. Recruits coming in for Vanderbilt have been told they will leave that game "knowing who will be the next coach at Tennessee."
3. The fact that it is Sunday, Nov. 19th, and Gruden has not publically announced that he is not a candidate for the job, or passed, or flattered but not coming etc... IS VERY GOOD.
4. I think the decision has been decided, we just have not been told - obviously, and there are many good reasons why that is. It does not matter one bit that we all would have liked to know two or three days ago.

IF, we get no word from Jon's camp that he is out of consideration (for any reason) then my percentage will start to go up.

So, that's my 25 cents worth....

I know many of you think it is fun to play PI but please do not be the one who names someone and gets them marked. I have said multiple times members of the AD are on this board. One of them has been posting in this thread. Consider the unintended consequence of posting any names of people that are working for a living. Please bump this to make sure it gets read.

Well said! Don't want to jeopardize anybody's livelihood over not being able to have patience. I want to know just as bad as everyone else who our next coach will be and when, but it's not worth harming others to know. I can wait.

Hopefully there will be single Vol ladies of outstanding moral character at MIT's formal party. It would suck to show up and find out it's all happily married couples. :)

3 Everone knows how he feels about coaches and rumors while they are still actively coaching. He even said he was not gonna speculate while coaches were coaching (current UT and coaches potentially on his staff)
4 His son is a student at UT. Do you really think he would drag this out if he was not coming ?
These things along with what my son who is involved in high end politics in Tn has told me. I am 100 %. I don't care what a beaver or anything else says.

I’m in agreement too. What you stated are the reasons I’m optimistic, especially him not denying anything by now. If he isn’t going to dance, one with think he would have turned the music off by now. Sometimes saying nothing says everything we need to know!!

What’s crazy is AV logged in this morning to drop some insight and said he was doing so, so we didn’t feel like we needed to analyze, track planes and follow every lead which only intensified that process!!!

From my outside view of this, there is more going on then we see, or that we think we know. There are a few in here that really does have access to some of the inter-workings and just because what they may decide to share doesn't line up from our perspective, doesn't mean they should be discounted. More levels to it than that.
