Official Greg Schiano thread

Schiano BETTER NOT be the guy considering what he knew at PSU and did NOTHING.

Sickening

You know this for a fact how?

Ohio state vetted him before they hired him as DC

Oregon & USC wanted him as their HC and vetted him.

So multi-million dollar university's have vetted him and are good with his accounts. But you have some information that these university's don't have????

Please share and inform us all.

3)After he "turned the corner" with that 11-2 2006 team, his record was 16-19 in the big east.
4)In his eleven years at Rutgers not once did they play a strength of schedule greater than 50th in the nation. His average SOS was 69.
5)30 of his 40 non conference wins came against teams from non-BCS conferences. In case you can't math that's 44 percent of his wins at Rutgers.

The above isn't opinion, it's fact. There is zero way in hell you can look at that and ra

He got hired as a head coach by the NFL on how impressive of a job he did at Rutgers.

And Rutgers got invited to the big 10 because of him..

Some of you just don't understand how impressive of a job he did at Rutgers

I guess I'll drop this over here, too. I'm not sure how to link from my phone, or I'd do that as well.

Plus people have to realize that New Jersey actually has a lot of good instate talent. He did a good job of keeping some New Jersey guys at Rutgers but that was about it. Plus you have to remember they were playing a really easy Big East schedule at the time...it’s not like Schiano did that against the Big 10 like they’re in now.

Same reason other successful college coaches couldn't win in the NFL

Saban
Kelly
petrnio
Schiano

Different attitude coaching kids vs half a team of guys that make more money than the coach

So he can't coach in the NFL and he was 68-67 at Rutgers
..: and is a pedophile enabler. And we should hire this guy ???

Every coach who has ever coached the Bucs has been fired. Failing there is expected. 68-67 at RU is actually very impressive. Enough so for him to get an NFL gig and offers from Michigan and Miami. He had nothing to do with Sandusky, according to everyone in the world other than those on this board. McQueary said he was told another assistant may have know years ago. It’s like 5th hand informatio. 20 years later, not exactly reliable.

Being mentioned in the same sentence as Sandusky is reason enough. No thanks

Delete this thread. Anybody that thinks that this man is being considered as the face of Tennessee football have lost their freaking minds.

vols1707 is ALL IN on Schiano! Rabid. Enthusiastic.

I like Schiano a lot. I still live in America where you are innocent until proven guilty. And don't put 100% faith in one side of any story.

Especially one recalled under duress from 20+ years before. When it was a passsing comment too.

Who cares if he's an A hole? So is Saban. All that matters is winning and losing.

If there was anything to the Penn state situation, he would not have been hired by Tampa Bay. He would not have been hired by Ohio State. He would not be considered by other schools if/when UT passes.

Guy is a proven winner. Took a program that was a 2 win per season team for decades. And took it to the top 10. Won so impressively and so big Rutgers got invited to the Big 10. He got Rutgers to move to the big 10!!!!! That's so impressive!

Got Rutgers ranked into the top 10!

Highlights:
Great recruiting
Teams played tough always
Hard relentless working attitude
Has a drive to be great
In Bill Belichick's inner circle with Saban & Meyer
NFL experience as a Head Coach(successful or not this is impressive to recruits)

What he did at Rutgers was amazing.

Imagine what this guy could do turning around Tennessee into a tough winning team. With the resources & money that Tennessee has.

Has turned down advances from USC & Oregon.
But wants the Tennessee job.

A lot of smoke around him and Tennessee. He is a Sexton client.

Do NOT want.

Even though he overlooked child abuse? Sexual child abuse. A man using his influence to have sex with boys.

It’s actually pretty bad to accuse someone of this when you have no idea if he knew anything about it. How would you like to be accused of that
