If we don't get a 3rd QB and say Peterman leaves and say Dormady has to have another shoulder surgery that count potentially leave us with Dobbs then a guy in Jennings that could develop into a really good QB or end up playing another position. We are in trouble if Jennings is the backup next season.He needs time to redshirt and learn how to play QB at an SEC level. But if Dormady is ok or we get a 3rd QB then Peterman still hurts from a depth issue but not as bad if we can get Jones or Francois. But think landing one of them is huge now for this class if indeed Dormady has to have another surgery and Peterman leaving. Hoping like hell we aren't in a critical situation at QB depth next yr. Nate would be the third QB in less than a yr that we lose counting Worley and Fergs.

He played well against bad D-Lines and decent agaisnt Alabama. He looked better than he did last year.

You realize that if we average 21 per graduating class that we will have 84, one less than the allowed 85. I say this to show you that we can lose 11 signees from this past years class and we will have that magic number of 21. Relax, depth won't come in one year, but over four years it will come.

We didn't have depth with Dooley and kiffin because their classes had way less than 21 left for the senior class.

So what. As long as CBJ is recruiting 24-7 like he has, we are gonna lose some highly regarded recruits year in and year out after their freshman years, etc. I think I have a read into CBJ's personality. If your not willing to work, fight, claw for a position, have patience for when it's your time, then he will show you the door. Because he is willing to work, fight, and claw for a recruit to replace you. Everyone that wants on, get on, everyone that wants off, get off!

read into CBJ's personality? He is like any other coach; he constantly recruits for the "better" talent, skill, fit into his scheme. I never thought Dobbs will be starting QB his senior year; CBJ will have already refined his starting QB profile and have that guy in there. Guys are not heartbroken when he leaves a spot.

Perseverance and maturity and claw your way? those are all coach-speak words; the better talent will be there on the field whether CBJ respects you or not.

If Butch is going to lose 5-6 of the 4 star players then we can no longer say we had a top 5 class. The reason why they left does not matter. Going forward, I will be suspect of any class that Butch signs. If he can win by running off top tier talent then I will be the first in line to congratulate him. I don't think that style is going to work and will lead to his downfall, but it is his behind that is on the line.

Henderson
Miller
Paulk

Then add Orta, Williams, Jones, Bowles, Gamble, Johnson, Blanc and possibly Peterman.
Losing 14-15 players makes us look really bad and will definitely be used against us in this recruiting class. Jones losing out on the top 3 in-state recruits and 9 of the top 11, maybe we are already seeing how attrition can negatively impact a recruiting class.

Apples to Oranges when Saban has had the number 1 class for the last several years. They lose a player and can plug in a 4-5 star. We plug in a walk-on.

I'm no sure you know what you're talking about. For 2 years in a row we are going to land a top 5 recruiting class. Which is why we are losing players. The same reason alabama loses players. So we can make room for recruits.

So this isn't Apple to organges, it's 100% apples to apples.

Many of these players are and we're unproven or over recruited.. Have some more eggnog

How long have you been following recruiting? Or college football in genral? This happens every year. The only difference is that this year some of the players leaving were 4 stars instead of 3 stars. As you accumulate a team full of 4 star talent you will lose 4star players due to attrition. There will be and all ways has been attrition everywhere. If all you have are 4stars then you are going to loose 4stars every year. Get used to it.
