Where are you getting this micro managing part from? Nobody has said that about pruitt before so where is it coming from other than the voices in your head?
I say like many others, the 1st call should be Jim Chaney and at least gauge interest and then talk work a package deal with Pittman. Especially if this is just the beginning of telling coaching moves. Tyson may try to take someone with him or another college may come calling on other coaches. And that is Hugh Freeze. Absolutely no reason to interview anyone else.
His system works and Pruitt would have him on a tight leash.
Do the right thing Pruitt.
This is how this would work with Freeze. He comes and the offense improves greatly under his guidance. (Good for the Vols). He gets hired away as a HC at another school and UT is looking, once again, for an OC. Lack of continuity is killing this team.
Chaney has a plethora of 5 star QB’s and RB’s. What incentive does he have to come here with JG and 3 star players across the starting 11?I say like many others, the 1st call should be Jim Chaney and at least gauge interest and then talk work a package deal with Pittman. So you made it up in your head got it, now we are clear. There's CEO head coaches, and there's micromanaging head coaches. Neither is correct. Pruitt just so happens to come from the Jimbo Fisher and Nick Saban coaching trees. Nick Saban is a micromanager and the best coach of all time.
A control freak coach is not going to hire an OC, hand him the keys to the offense, and say good luck. That is the only way Freeze would work here, and everyone knows that.
You can dispute the fact that Pruitt is a control freak if you want, but the evidence speaks for itself.
Who called the plays against Vandy again?
Well joel osovet is an RPO guru, known for vertical attacks. Its likely going to be someone running the Smashmouth Spread. Toss downfield to open up downfield running lanes. That is what he has said fits his general philosophy and it is gaining ground in the top programs.
Smashmouth Spread comes to SEC
Who does that indicate that might be available then? Its not going to be Chad Morris or Taggart, so who does that leave us?
