Just wondering if we should have held off on hiring. Not saying that our hires are bad. The reason I am writing this is because I just Heard that Norm Chow was fired. That would have been a good hire for us. I think we went after him when Cutt was hired back. any thoughts?

Norm Chow is AWFUL.

Lets look at his success at USC. He had the best talent, and at the time, the Pac 10 was a wasteland for defenses.

Put 2 and 2 together and you can see why he won so much there.

The guy does not have what it takes to compete against SEC defenses. Hell, he doesn't have what it takes to compete against NFC SOUTH defenses.

YIKES!!

I was just wondering. Norm was pretty good @ USC.

Again I'm not saying that our hires were bad. I just don't know anything about them.

Don't think Newby should be questioning hires, but welcome to the board, and Good Luck.

a newbie has the same right to question hires that freak does. That's why you come to the forum.

i think it's obvious to see that Chow just rode the success of everything else going right at USC. He is by no means a great coach.

i am seriously, seriously hoping I sense sarcasm in this post.

no sarcasm. he won at NCST and USC. the nfl is a different monster. you also have to look at his team, not alot of great talent on the titans. vince young is a better runner than thrower. i figure chow will end up on the west coast somewhere.

I know that Phil knows what he's doing. I would never question his choices either.

well you should question his choices. While I think he's 3 for 3 on hires so far, he's made quite a few blunders the past few years that make it more than understandable to question him.
