Well something certainly seemed missing from the NFL this season without #18 out there.

I'm happy to have lived in a time to enjoy seeing both Manning and Brady play at such a high level. Who is the GOAT? I don't know or really care.

Like Bradshaw reminded everyone, no QB has lost as many Superbowls as Brady as well. It's a stat like Clank Kobe's missed shots that will likely never be overshadowed by another player in our lifetimes.

From a football standpoint, I feel blessed having watched the entire careers both QBs. Caveat that with "hope I am around long enough to see all of Brady's". All things being equal, I would take Peyton, however, all things aren't equal and Brady clearly has the rings. Both are HOF though and tops in my book.

466 yards passing at 39 throwing to those guys.

I didn't know who James White was until yesterday

The only thing that's laughable is citing a TEAM statistic to justify individual greatness. Brady could not have achieved his defining qualification to be considered the GOAT without Belichick and the TEAMs that were built around him. He would readily admit this. By your logic Terry Bradshaw is the second best QB to ever play and Fran Tarkenton was a bum.

All I'm saying is there is more to consider than just SB wins -- which is after all a TEAM accomplishment. Greatest TEAM of all-time? That's a different argument. Greatest player at an individual position? You have to consider more than just wins and championships.

It would also mean he's played in almost twice as many Super Bowls as well. There's something to be said for that, too.

Gator is correct. Bradshaw played alongside the Steel Curtain, who could leave any opposing offensive player motionless. The only person that Brady played with that could leave someone motionless was Aaron Hernandez. :machgun:

No offense 99, and I do believe Brady is the GOAT....but the "look who he's played with " argument doesn't wash with me. All I know is nobody can cover any of those guys, they're running free all the time. That's not a slight a Brady because he's incredibly decisive and accurate and I believe he's the best ever. But even though we've never heard of some the guys he throws to, they're constantly open/running free and they make plays and get great yards after catch.

Thanks. I thought his stat looked a bit off. I know Tarkenton lost 3 with the Vikings. Kelly 4 with the Bills.

Fess Up: which one of you just called sports animal and said the last TD in regulation wasn't a TD because the players feet were never in the end zone?

Even said everyone in the room agreed that it wasn't a TD.

If that is the case, the OT TD wasn't a TD because the players feet never went in the end zone.

Not even remotely close to being true.

Jim Kelly lost 4, Fran Tarkenton lost 3, John Elway lost 3.

Brady has lost 2...the same as Peyton Manning.
