Off Topic: Super Bowl LI Thread

Yeah but you only have to hold them to 3 points.

Yeah your defense has to. Offense is a mute point if you dont hold them to 3. Dumb. I f'ing hate the patriots. Have to give them props, but I never feel good about their wins...feels weird man.

Super Bowl is about the only NFL game I watch, but it really doesn't make sense.
You flip the coin. The one who wins is told - you only have to do 1 thing, score 6.
You tell the other team,- you have to do 2 things. Stop them from scoring and score yourself.

No one is going to change anybody's mind tonight, but 2 > 1.
I just like the college rule were both sides get the exact same chance. Regardless of what half the team does.

I think it should probably be like college rules but it's way better than sudden death any score ends (fg or touchdown). I'm not sure NFLPA will ever let it change.

Mark Richt has lost control of the Atlanta Falcons.

On another note, congrats to Justin Coleman for winning a Super Bowl ring tonight!

Yes but it's same argument if first team kicks a field goal.

Thought this was funny.

Brady has 5 💍💍💍💍💍 and what 4 SB MVPs? Come on this isn't hard.

The SB trophy doesn't say Tom Brady on it. He has benefited by playing his entire career for the dominant team of his era and for the greatest head coach of all-time. He has done a great job, but it's likely that any number of QBs in his position would have been just as successful. During the times in his career when he was injured/suspended, other Pats QBs played in his place with similar winning percentages. So wins and championships alone don't tell the story.

Brady has now played the same # of seasons as Peyton Manning and he still trails Peyton in every major statistical category by a wide margin.

It's an argument, but I think the evidence still supports Peyton as the GOAT. I think Brady may even be 3rd in his era behind Drew Brees. Check the stats.

U are probably right, but I felt like that sack, when they were in fg range, in the 4th, Ryan held it a little too long and maybe, could have thrown it away. Other than that 1 play, I completely agree with u, it's on the coaches

It really shouldn't have been a pass in the first place. For some baffling reason, they got too aggressive (or too greedy) in a situation where not only could they have ended the game but no real benefit came from what they ended up calling (there's close to zero difference between an 11-point lead and a 15-point lead when 3 minutes or less are left), and in the end it cost them immensely.
