O/U win total 7.5

I would have to bet the under on this one, I think we win 6 maybe 7 but 8 wins is too much for this team in year 1 of Heupel.
UT should beat the 4 OOC opponents, Vandy, and USCe (which is a bigger mess than UT. That leaves Ole Miss, UK, and Mizzou. I don't really think that 2 out of those 3 is "too much".

I start with 3 - 7 in an all SEC schedule last year.
Subtract a couple of SEC losses.
Add a 3 - 1 Out of Conference record and I get to about 6 wins.
From there we still have a lot of unknowns.

I’ll say under. I think we lose to Pitt, win the other 3 OOC games, beat SC and Vandy. That leaves Kentucky, Ole Miss, and Mizzou as possible wins and we only win one of those for a 6 win season.

I think KY and Ole Miss are both better teams than TN in 2021. USCe and Mizzou are toss up games.
In what way do you believe UK is a better team?

Honestly, I do not know what to expect out of Ole Miss. Their talent per recruiting sites is less than UT. Kiffin is kind of a mixed bag over his career. They could be world beaters or could struggle. For now, I expect them to be a "toss up". IMHO, Mizzou may be a more difficult opponent. No flash but I think their coach was a pretty good hire.

We have recruited far better than we have performed since the early 2000s. UT has consistently shown we are the exception to that rule.

Agree. But if those rankings have any value at all then UT has talent... waiting on coaching. I'm anxious to see if this staff shows they're able to get at least the sum of the talent on the roster out of the roster. It would be nice to finally have a coach who gets more than the sum of the roster on the field.

Jones underperformed the talent on the roster in each of his 5 years. Pruitt did as well. Dooley had the one year when he came close. Kiffin is the last guy IMO to get more from the roster than the sum of its talent... and much of that credit goes to Monte. I think people often overlook the near miracle he pulled with that D.

If we were the only ones in a hole right now I’d say under - easy pick. Our saving grace might be that USCjr, and Vandy are undergoing similar changes.

Under and its not even close.

We have a loooong way to go.

We'll be lucky to get bowl eligible. We're behind so many teams right now. Vandy is the only for sure conference win for me and I think USCe is on par with us. Pitt will be a toss up and UK, Mizzou are ahead in the east. It's just the sad truth right now. Doesn't mean we couldn't beat one of those teams but new coach, new faces in key positions...gonna be a tough year.

Very close, but I've ran each game prediction and have us at 7.7 wins. So, I'd be over, but at the narrowest of margins.

Way under...all I can think of is they are thinking we luck out to win 7 plus a Music City Bowl.

Seems too easy

Season win total O/U are regular season only.

That said, this is just a random twitter account, not a sportsbook you can bet.

Go game-by-game and see what % you think each game is. This schedule is pretty nice.
