Serious question. Is your last name Walden?

I seriously think it's literally impossible for you to post without bringing up some physical or mental feat you've supposedly accomplished.

I will have to say that I am mystified as to why people absolutely seem to relish the idea of criticizing others for their religious beliefs. I could understand if those people were using those beliefs to justify blowing others up. I fail to see the harm in people on the forum expressing their religious beliefs. They aren't hurting anyone. Why can't you folks just let it slide?

Is that your only acceptable criteria? What about using beliefs to keep rights from others? Does that count?

Secondly, I willing to bet you would make fun of Muslims if they made a "Wonderful World of Mohammad" theme park.

No, I wouldn't. They have a right to their beliefs, as long as they don't break laws and harm others.

Edit: I wanted to add that I certainly wouldn't try to intentionally hurt their feelings by belittling their beliefs. I just don't get the satisfaction that you seem to get out of being a bully.
I also don't think that religious people should try to belittle you for your lack of belief. I am not religious, and you have the right not to believe. I just think that you should leave them alone. I don't care what you believe. I just think that you are very mean spirited.

Who is using beliefs to keep rights from others in this conversation about a theme park in Kentucky?

The harm is done when religious beliefs halt the progression of science. The problem isn't religious beliefs in general. It's people who aren't willing to adapt their personal scriptural beliefs to advances in science. I grew up going to private science classes with a group of holy rollers. It was pathetic how they were willing to brainwash young minds rather then allow us to be challenged.

I fail to see brainwashing on this forum, but I do see bullying.

How could there be brain washing?

I don't care for bullying, but it happens with nearly every topic. People are way too sensitive about religion. You want a pass on it, but that's not what the politics forum is for. Keep it in the pub if you don't want debate. There you at least have a chance.

I respond directly to the things that are stated.

If someone like Marcus is going to make clear assertions and absolutely false statements about science and evolution, then I should be able to respond, unless you honestly believe he should be able to say whatever the **** he wants to about something and have no one respond.

I don't understand the mentality of letting someone say whatever they want and make whatever claims they want, and have nothing said in return.

It is not the fact that you respond. It is the utter contempt for his point of view, and the lack of civility. In simple terms, you are mean.

Can't we keep it civil? The religious people have as far as I remember. I may have missed something. I don't know.

Oh boo ****ing hoo. Do we need a safe space here for people getting their feelings hurt?

I have utter contempt when subjects are intentionally distorted and false statements are bolded as true, and when someone who obviously doesn't know jack **** about what he's talking about proclaims how wrong said subject is, and is so bold when he does it.

No I'm amazed at your inability to follow a conversation.

72 said he didn't understand the treatment some people get by sharing their religious beliefs. He referenced not blowing people up. You asked if that was his standard and if he had a problem with people using their beliefs to infringe on the rights of others. I asked where that had occurred in this discussion. What did I miss? Stop being a drama queen when the convo doesn't fit your narrative. There are plenty of issues within this thread that can be and have been discussed, but to say people are infringing on the rights of others. Please.

I don't see Marcus' responses about science/evolution as being "civil". Of course it's hard to tell, he hides behind his "Aw shucks I'm a simple Christian man who falls short" every time he starts getting uncivilized.

Talk to a mirror considering you butted in on this, Mr. White Horse.

And holy **** talk about missing the point of my question. I never said ANY rights were being infringed in this thread or anything to do with the park, I was responding to HIS diverting of the conversation by bringing up blowing up people.

smdh.

It's an internet forum. My apologies for not respecting your precious little privacy. Next time I'll knock first.
