I can't believe you hit "send" with this pile of uninformed and ignorant BS. I will address it sequentially. The AD had meetings with Pearl after the improper BBQ. The BBQ itself wasn't a major issue, BUT was Pearl's second infraction with the NCAA as a coach. The first with UT. Aaron Craft, a committed recruit, but only a junior, attended the BBQ. Because he was a junior, he wasn't allowed that sort of visit. Someone reported it to the NCAA. After the NCAA notified UT of the report and their confirmation of the event, Pearl's bosses had a meeting with him. Told him what he must do to keep his job. UT was even going to retain him if there was a show cause and suspension. He did exactly the opposite of what they told him to do and called recruits he wasn't supposed to call and even worse, contacted Aaron Craft's father and asked him to lie to the NCAA. UT officials told him to tell the truth about the BBQ. He didn't tell the truth and Craft's Dad told them the truth and also told them Pearl asked them to lie about it. Those are all reported facts. In the end with his reduced payout, he threw his assistants under the bus by cutting their buyouts.
