Next two games YOU are the coach

If I was the coach JG wouldn’t have seen the field the last two games. After watching him play for 2+ years I’d seen all I needed to see. I didn’t even need to see last year (his 3rd). He is a very poor quarterback without any of the intangibles. He doesn’t understand distance or timing and has no pocket presence. For the sake of Pruett’s Legacy he needs to come to this realization and open up the quarterback job until somebody takes the bull by the horns. He’ll never end up with another head coaching job if he continued to stick with JG. That will be his entire legacy as a head coach

1) I would start JG and get BM and JT in a series or some snaps in the first half. If either backup seems to have a hot hand , use them more.
2) Run some wildcat. We have several options including at least three freshman with speed and high school Qb experience. Use a RPO option with them at least one play.
3) Expand the TE package in the passing game.
4) Crouch made some plays Saturday but I believe Banks was in the game the most. Banks is making two many mistakes. They are rotating at the same position if I understand correctly.
5) If Ga DL shifts and causes disruptions in the opposing teams OL then we should try the same. They say every musician is a thief, well that should apply to football coaches as well.
6) We need to add some tougher guys in the Rb rotation. Do not give Chandler or Gray any pass blocking responsibilities. Bring in an extra TE or your best blocking back who will at least try to slow down a blitz.
7) T McDonald- If he shined in the scrimmage , work him in the rotation at safety. I don’t care if he is a freshman.
8) J Hyatt - At least 10-15 snaps minimum. Speed kills.
9) See what plays were well designed and worked against our defense the first three games. Add them to our offensive playbook.

Dude he is a true FR who missed all of spring practice. If he had a full spring practice then you may have a valid point. You Bailey fanboys are hilarious. you are setting this kid up for failure. When he goes out and struggles, then you will bash him and the staff for playing him. Call him a bust and not what we thought he would be. This COVID crap changed everything. Its not a normal season and we shouldnt expect bailey to play.

Nah, I'm willing to be patient and I wouldn't care how bad he looked at times as long as he looked like he was being competently coached. True freshmen play all the time, mid term enrollment hasn't always been a thing. The covid situation makes it even more friendly for them to play. It's a mulligan year and doesn't count against any eligibility. If we lose to Alabama we're pretty much out of any championship picture. Every team is bowl eligible this year regardless of record.

JG was abysmal vs middle of the road and bad teams last year for the most part and we won with defense and running. At worst we have to do that again with Bailey. There's virtually no down side to playing him later vs the gain you get from it for 2021. How nice would it be to have no QB controversy to start 2021 and instead have it be a strength?

Thank you! The comments about Bailey being a bust if he doesn't perform, or he should transfer if he doesn't see the field..Have y'all lost your effin minds? For the 50 millionth damn time, the kid had no spring practice and missed the majority of fall camp! 😵
FWIW, JG has had five years of practice and we are still losing to the big 3.

I'm sorry, I don't know what FWIW means lol. Yes, you are right about JG and the losses, what does that have to do with Bailey and his lack of practice?
I believe we could beat the same teams we will beat with JG, with Bailey. My point is JG has been at UT 5 years and he still makes mistakes a freshman would make, so practice obviously doesnt matter that much. Hes just not good.

The team wears the white unis with orange numbers and the defense does that "Prowler" thing they did in 2001.
I wonder what happened to that defensive front. It worked brilliantly against UF that year and we've never seen it again. It seems having the linemen moving around, and hitting the line with momentum would be a huge advantage against the offensive line, especially in long yardage / obvious passing situations.

Play the best option. JG. How is this even a question?

Lets play worse young players just hoping they will get better is not a sound program building strategy. Sorry

You do not know if they are worse than JG. JG has set a low standard to beat. There needs to be rotation in a game to see if someone plays well. Don’t talk to me about last year, it has no bearing on how BM and JT might play this year.

3 yards and a cloud of dust. Direct snap to RBs. Never let JG have another touch.
