I know we don't have a ton of posters in this forum but I was curious about what everyone is doing for next gen.

You can choose more than one and your votes are publicly visible. Vote away.

I'm not getting either at launch, but I know I'll get both PS5 and Series X within the first year.

Both for me. I was able to preorder a Series X but no luck yet for the PS5.

I'm leaning towards none of the above. I'll play on my current PC and get a new graphics card in the next couple years.

I'm going back and forth. I want to get the xbox because I have game pass, but I just can't imagine any games looking/playing all that much better than my One X right now. The PS5 looks interesting with the new interface and controller. But part of me, like you, just wants to play on PC and be done with it.

Sticking with PC for now. Also, @Freak , you should change the PC option to just say "new GPU" since 1) AMD's new cards look like they will definitely be worth looking at I'm November and 2) RTX cards can't be found anyway hah

Will likely pass, haven't played enough in the past year to really justify getting a new console

PS5 for me, PC isn’t to the point it needs a new graphics card or anything yet for what I play. Another year or so then maybe time to upgrade parts.

I was, had a decent little run on Twitch for awhile. Got up to 52 subs at one point, but went back to school for another degree, started streaming less and it dropped off. Then the past year I just haven’t had the desire to stream.

I'll definitely be getting a new GPU and probably a PS5, at some point. Gamepass on the pc kind of makes the xbox unnecessary, especially since cross play seems to be becoming the new standard. Microsoft has even said they're open to putting Gamepass on Sony and Nintendo consoles.
Xbox boss is open to bringing Game Pass to Switch and PS4 | GamesRadar+

It seems like Microsoft's goal is to get out of hardware.

PS5 at launch. I'll pick up an Xbox Series X in a year or two when they get some games I want to play.

Cool. Streaming seems like it would be a tough grind after a while.

Have I asked you that before? I remember someone in here talking about streaming but I don't recall that it was you.

It becomes one, especially when you start focusing on numbers and money. I enjoyed it more when I had 7-10 total viewers and maybe 2 or 3 subs than I did when my channel grew.

You may have, I know we talked at one point when I posted about a charity stream for Extra Life I did a few years ago.

3070 for now (when available). PS5 in maybe two years when the library fleshes out a bit. No interest in Demon's Souls YET but only because I just beat the original last summer. Never on XSX but only because I'll have a gaming PC.

I was thinking a RTX 3070 but I want to see benchmarks on the 3060TI and Radeon RX 6000 series first.

3070 actually showed an fps increase when over locked unlike the 3080. I'm really interested in the RX 6000 series now. Can't wait to see the Gamers Nexus vid this week on the new 5000 series CPUs and then the 6000 series GPUs in a couple weeks. Is ray tracing a huge deal for you?

Thoughts on RX 6000?

I'd rather have ray tracing than not. But it's not a deal breaker right now. I just need a GPU upgrade to carry me for a few years. So price is a factor, hence looking at the 3060. After that I'll look at full AMD rebuild, for the next machine.

Honestly depends on availability. I prefer Nvidia but will go AMD if they actually have stock. This whole "release cards, wait 6 months for them to be buyable" thing from Nvidia is really annoying.
