New QB being Installed During Offweek

I’m sure “some” other schools were probably hit hard as well.

If HB starts 6 games in.....it’s probably because Tennessee has been having all kinds of problems........seems about right.

Covid is an excuse anyone “could” use, but everyone had to deal with.
I did some research and Tennessee was hit harder than most. Yes, there are also other problems... S&C is one of them.

The main issue being that we can't generate any pressure on the QB with our down linemen.
Whether that was the only reason the DL coach got the ax, remains to be seen.
Seems like there had to be more to it, but yeah, at the least that's been a big issue to this point.

We didn't expect to win but everyone wanted to see a moral victory. I get it, a test to see where your program is compared to the best. Regardless, the important stretch for where we are as a program starts in two weeks.
We’re behind Kentucky. What more do you need to know?

A QB change may very well be coming, but there are so many more issues on this team to worry about. The way our defense played today we have no chance to stop anyone.
In the2 games, offense has given up almost as many points than they have scored. The QBs were responsible for most of those points.

Jesus you act like every team we play from here on out has Bamas offense. You do realize their offense shredded UGA's defense right? The one stacked with NFL talent?

You think the only issue this team has is quarterback? The defensive problems didn’t begin with Alabama. Ask Shi Smith or Jimmy Brumbaugh

The last two seasons at UT. I couldn’t care less about Purdue!

Sounds similar to arguments used to get rid of our great HOF NC winning coach Fulmer - let's conveniently forget all great stuff he did in his long career and only judge him on last few years. We all know how that experiement turned out - hopefully the curse/punishment football Gods installed on UT for that stupidity will not last as long as what the Red Sox suffered after they traded Babe Ruth .

No we arent.
Right you are, but Stoops has done a remarkable job at the basketball school.
Their program is better than it probably ever has been.
They have invested a lot of money into their facilities in recent years.
They seem to have played Florida tougher than the Vols have in recent years.
It is likely teams will no longer have 30 year win streaks against the Wildcats.
You have to give credit where due.
For whatever reason, they kicked our ass.

Ah...so you live in this fictional world where the team that wins is always the more talented team?

We really dont have superior talent to KY in the trenches, btw.
We have a 5th year senior 4* center surrounded by four 5* lineman on our oline. You sir are the one living in a false reality. We are head and shoulders above Kentucky in talent.

Incorrect again. So you do live in a fictional world. Now you believe all the star ratings turn out to be true. Lol. Let me let you in on a secret, they arent.

Our talent in the trenches is not head and shoulders above KY.

We may have had defensive issues from the start, however this version of the Vols took a lead into half time vs Georgia largely based on the backs of that defensive group. Granted we have been vulnerable since the 2nd half of that game down the middle. We should have schemed a middle is vulnerable appearance then covered that with a zone in the Kentucky game. Instead our offense went out and scored for UK and the defense laid down afterwards and played well in spurts against Bama. Our DC needs to get that middle closed, especially on the slants. The little UGA QB dcouldn't even see where he was throwing to on his middle tosses he just kept throwing to the same spot against us knowing he had a receiver there no matter the play.. Bama adjusted and forced him to do the same thing and he turns it over three times.

Saban knows how to coach. He would take this team and win the east division. He would put JG on the bench before the season started.

Drew Brees at Purdue was almost 20 yrs ago. The game has changed. You must have a lot of old tshirts & shoes around your house.

In my opinion the offense has sucked the last two yrs. Very little imagination and poor execution on the basic plays they do run. If you’re happy with an offense scoring more TDs for the opponent, good for you.

You can't develop at least 1 of the 2 other QBs that also have been in your system at least a year in said 5 weeks?

Sounds like you either have more than one bad QB, or you're not very good and developing them.
Been saying that for months, now. It's sad that in year 3 we still are suffering thru the same poor QB play from the same poor QB.

They either struggle at developing QBs, or they struggle at identifying QB talent. Whichever scenario it is, it falls on the staff.

We didnt and it wouldnt have mattered.

We really have no dynamic players on DL, LB (other than 11) or DB. QB sucks. Receivers are so average. Chandler is pathetically average. Gray is decent. Not much of a team. They were never going to come close to beating Bama today.
So Ole Miss has more dynamic players? They were able to score plenty on Alabama.

If you hadn't noticed, LSU hasn't been setting the football world on fire this year..
I don’t believe you understood the comment smh. Their true freshman QB played quite well! Maybe due to being in many meetings before getting there and understanding their system but our backups have had plenty of time (more time) to accomplish the same thing and also have college game experience as well. No reason BM shouldn’t have played the entire 4th quarter.
