New Name: PJ Fleck Being Vetted

Who says Texas has more resources? Who knows what resources Tennessee has beyond pure speculation, Texas is gum on the bottom of our shoe, if we wanted to win we'd get the very best option available and that was Urban Meyer, at least take a run at him all he can do is say no, and if I remember correctly he was saying how good the Tennessee job would be during his commentating, dont think I ever heard him mention Texas, that may not mean anything but it could have, too late now.
Take a look at the rankings of endowment money for US universities. You will understand.

And your continual attempt to prove " something" Lord knows what it is , shows your lack of intelligence. Enjoy speaking to yourself, I'm sure that's something you do quite often. I'm out of here as I have better things to do than discuss your infatuation with cliches. ;)

I didn't have to prove anything. You proved how ignorant you were by Using the cliche "cheesy cliches" as a criterion for hiring or not hiring a coach.

I'd take PJ Fleck over any of those 3 options at the moment. He was able to coach the freaking Minnesota Gophers to an 11-2 record.....

And I'm confused by the Clemson OC interest considering the approach was to get a power 5 head coach

I understand the money end of it but it doesnt matter, no school is going to pay more than market value so we can afford market value for a top tier coach whether Texas has more money coming in or not, Alabama proves the point right now.

Even though you say that "I'm out of here, I'll bet that you read this post, and to add just a touch of your juvenile responses, "bwahahaah".

Yes and you're really still out out there making asinine comments aren't you? You also consider yourself a bit of a poet don't you?
Asinine you say. Lmao look at your last 10 posts or so. You're fan-girling hard for an average hire. Out here promoting some coach you fell in love with after reading his wikipedia page.

He beat Auburn in a bowl game. I don't know how you're looking at his record and finding it not to be extraordinarily great,. He is a winner by any objective standards and a big winner too.
We should hire him because his one good team beat Auburn?

He’s a lot closer to being on the hotseat at Minnesota than being a top HC.

Which is probably why he’d jump to Tennessee. He’s the type to stay ahead of the mob

Warming up to Fleck after researching.

Completely agree, was a little put off at first by the slogans and cliches, because of Butch,

However when I started to research Pj Fleck, and look beyond those slogans, you see hes built programs who were terrible before him, he's young energetic and positive. His players love him and run thru a wall for him. Could be a great recruiter here.

Not my first choice but definitely better than some of The names mentioned

If my last 10 posts are asinine, it's because asinine posters such you can't understand anything else. You post something that's halfway intelligent and you'll get an intelligent reply. "Average hire" you say. What's your source other than your own muddled mind?

Many coaches can win with the right talent. We have not had the talent to win in the last 15 years. We most hire a coach who can recruit against the top programs in the SEC to win. For some coaches, developing the talent is required. We have not done that in the past 15 years. So, pick the guy who can recruit and coach. That is the Job of our AD. Her in in his first week on the job. He seems to be be approaching this hire in a sane and efficient way. Let's let HIM do the job and I am sure he does not need/want all the advice we on this board can/will provide. Lets rest for another 4-5 days and see what develops.
I agree!

I'd say he appears to be one bad season away from being on the hot seat up there. You act like he's built some national powerhouse out of Minnesota.

You keep saying the same thing over and over to everyone. You want a source for everything and then throw in some half-baked insult lol. I've never seen someone on this board thirst replying to everyone this fast either. It's somewhere in between funny and embarrassing.

The 2016 had a lot of players who now play on Sundays.

If its not Freeze and its not Kiffin, i think PJ Fleck is a good a option as anyone else, they are all unproven at this level so your getting a pig in a poke so to speak, they may work out and they may not, I think Elliot has legs unfortunately tho because of Kevin Steele.

You're exactly right. I ask for source anytime someone makes half-baked opinions or seems unremorsefully negative, or has some weird hang up of trying to deny a coach the ability to use motivational "little bromides", and then trying to base hiring or not hiring them on such use. My source for optimism in Fleck is his record which is quite a bit more objective than your opinion and I've also gone beyond Wikipedia.

I'll back any coach that White brings here rather than beetch and gripe before we even know the ultimate result of such hire.

Well you go on and be all you can be Mr. Tennessee. Apparently you've not been paying attention for the last decade. Tennessee needs a slam dunk hire or it's an uphill battle.

You just like to argue and strive really hard to be some pseudo-intellectual defender of all things you deem holy. You like thinking you're the smartest guy in the room. It's boring after a while.

Fleck is a great coach, just watch a few youtube interviews with him, the guy is a wild man motivator. Just compare him to cornbread mumbling along, aright!

Butch didn’t “blame”, I listened to that interview, he credited Gruden with it. I realize “blamed” sounds more dramatic.
Blame in the sense he realized it became a cliche that was mocked repeatedly. You should know Butch has motives behind the things he says by now. He wants to pass it off on Gruden. If he was still praised for it, he wouldn’t have credited it to gruden lol
