SMU is a pretty solid program because of Dykes now. He had two bad years at Calz which harder to recruit to than people realize.

Butch was a better recruiter than Dykes. Dykes is better at actual football.

Regardless....we can and should do better.

There are a lot of good coaches in the country. Evidently Volnation doesn’t want any of em.

Took an 1-11 Western Michigan team to 13-1 in 3 season. Took Minnesota to the Top 10 in his 3rd year there.
