3 wins against Saban during his time at Auburn. How many other coaches can say that? And when was the last time we beat Bama. He also has a national championship appearance. Coaching in the SEC East would be much easier than coaching in the SEC West. The West is only going to be tougher the next several years.

PJ is an excellent coach but I don't know if he's a fit for the SEC. He's been in Big Ten country pretty much his entire life. I think he'd probably be a better fit at Mich or Notre Dame if he were to move on from Minnesota

Yeah UT is pretty much gonna have to scrape the bottom of the barrel at this point in time. Once upon a time it would be laughable to think that UT would be considering some of the names being thrown out there. The days of Tennessee being able to get who they want are long past.
I’ve not been too optimistic on Elliot for no other reason than he has no HC experience. Just because I’m not cheerleading for whoever they trot out doesn’t make me negative. I hope whoever they hire is successful. If they aren’t I believe UT football is done this time. Being negative would be hoping they fail, saying I’ll pull for Ole’ Miss or whoever or wanting to riot or make an ass of myself on social media. I’ll do none of those things. I’m simply voicing my opinion and skepticism on a UT message board.
