Netflix

Started watching Shamelss. Almost done with season 2... S1 was excellent but S2, while still good, is already starting to show signs of a show that is going to go on longer than it should. Reminds me of another Showtime show, Weeds. Great start that is somewhat grounded in reality but gets progressively more ridiculous with each season.

I love Frank’s drunken conservative ramblings on society and the purposeful irony of him living off govt checks. He is what Seinfeld described George when he said “If the Unemployment Office knew how hard he worked to stay on unemployment they would give him a raise.”

And Emmy Rossum is hot enough to keep watching well after the show runs its course.

An update from The Staircase:

I saw Michael Peterson at the restaurant I was having lunch at the other day. From the looks of him he’ll be meeting his final judge and jury in the not so distant future. He looked really, really bad, toting around an oxygen tank and needing assistance to walk.

The show is up and down in terms of story but i've managed to stick with it

I’m at about the same point in season 2. Great show so far.

Hmmm I know a lot of people like this that live in my state (KY). Stick with the show, there are some ups and downs, but it's one of my favorite shows! I love how each character has their ups and downs, but in the end that family has their backs through it all. Even as bad as Frank is to them he sticks around.

Added it to my list but haven't seen it yet.....was going to hold off until I seen some posts/reviews on it. Might have to check it out tonight.

It’s pretty eye-opening. I’m only 1 episode and 15 minutes into the next one. He’s a disaster and really doesn’t care. There was a Smith & Wesson joke that he makes and it actually really pissed me off. That takes a lot, but I was disgusted.

Just wait until they talk about his time at Florida

Anybody watching the Hernandez thing? Pretty interesting so far.
that guy had issues......and apparently just a big damn dummy. the whole story is interesting though. the whole circumstance with his mom and dad, his HS QB, his cousin.....girl friend...."associates"....and throw some CTE in there for good measure......

scary and sad all the way around.

They really pushed the whole gay thing. He was obviously a messed up kid. It shows how unnatural that lifestyle is, to have such a conscience where you can no longer live with yourself. It show how true Romans 1-3 is.

It's up to when David Fincher wants to get around to season 3. Netflix doesn't want to cancel it, they just don't have a timeframe for the next season.
