I've seen his name thrown around for OC.

38 Years Old

Played at Kentucky under Mal Mumme, Mike Leach & Tony Franklin

4 seasons as a Head Coach. (34-16) Overall
In last 3 seasons is (30-8) three straight Bowl Appearances with (2) Wins going into the December 22 game vs. Buffalo.

Has served as OC & QB Coach in the past at Texas Tech under Tommy Tuberville and Kentucky under Stoops.

His background is intriguing. IMO

Great coach, no idea why he'd give up a HC gig to come here as OC when he's being talked about favorably for head coaching jobs at bigger schools. He also has a 3 million dollar buyout at Troy.

Better chance at a head coaching gig at a big school believe it or not. It’s the trend now

Why would he leave an HC gig to be OC?
Likely more money and if does well could probably get higher profile HC job (or NFL job) from being a OC in the SEC than he could from a Sun Belt HC job.

He is (30-8) in the last three seasons he might be thinking his talent is running out so now would be the time jump to a higher profile job.

I mean, I'd be all for it if it happens. I would have thought this guy would have had a bigger HC gig by now.

He's already had interviews for some fairly high profile jobs. I'd probably stay there and control my own destiny rather than go be an assistant somewhere where I was a passenger in on someone else's ship.
