NBA Playoffs Thread

Mahimni was an absolutely nightmarish deal. Made no sense at the time and still doesn’t.

I love Porter, but he should be getting Mahimni $. You just can't pay Beal $27M. Maybe $20M? There are only a few players in the league worth over $35M, and Wall ain't one of them. They messed up on all those contracts.

Playing better doesn't mean you are going to have bigger numbers. Of course Bosh and Wade didn't have career years with Lebron.

Broken hip Thomas? Really? How'd he do with LAL? Including him is a joke.

Look at Chalmers' shooting stats...he only shot 32%+ from 3 without Lebron one time. His worst year with Lebron was 36%.

The excuses for Lebron are never ending.

But on the flip side if you don’t pay Bradley Beal, some other team is going to offer him the max forcing you to match or let him walk for nothing

Yup. There is no incentive when you lose a RFA. And the NBA it’s really tough to get a top 5-6 guy at his position which Beal is.

Yeah, Lebron sucks because he doesn't have Mr. Miagi's hand-clapping healing trick to magically fix IT's hip. I should stop making excuses for him and call him what he is....a ****ing muggle!

Lol. Way to take things to an idiot level. LBJ is one of the greatest to ever play the game of basketball. But the excuses for him need to stop.

It's OK to overpay one guy like that, but they did it 4x.

I think we can all agree Mahinmi is an inexcusable contract but i think you have to keep Wall, Beal, and Porter if the only other option is to let them walk. Porter was the biggest overpay but you can always try to match salaries in a trade later on

Watching the replay of game 6 of 1998 NBA finals. Just wow. Pippen hurt, Harper with the flu, Bulls were underdogs, on the road, Jordan had almost no help against a team with 2 HOfers. When it counted, who made the plays? The big steal and the dagger to win the game? The GOAT.

How bad would Lebron have been killed against GSW if he shot 15/35 with 1 assist? And MJ was being guarded by Russell and Hornacek...

He scored over 40 points with like 54% ts

That's an average ts% and he was facing mediocre D. His teammates were 19/32 and he had 1 assist. He was pretty OK.

If Lebron scored 45 off essentially 42 shots against Byron Russell, BOT would be downplaying it (and so would I).

Dude you need to just give it up. Lebron cannot catch nor surpass MJ. Yes, Jordan was just that good. There is a reason that MJ is the unquestioned GOAT to those who know basketball.

I have given LBJ tons of credit. He is just not on Jordans level. But then again, nobody else is either.

I don't approve of anything you have said. But I agree with it.
