National media weighs in [face mask gate]

It sure looks like JG changed the play and Pruitt took it as a slap in the face. My interpretation is “that was your last f’ing chance”.....
There is some BS going on behind the scenes as we speak.

This is just public shaming and fake discipline. JG doesn't need to get humiliated like that. He knows he messed up and probably feels worse than anyone. It's not a substitute for the effective kind of discipline that would prevent this in the first place. Pruitt's reaction had nothing to do with discipline and everything to do with his temper. I'm not saying grabbing a facemask is completely out of bounds but this wasn't useful and reflects Pruitt's general lack of control.
Yeah..... Pruitt should have hugged his neck and had him sit down and eat some orange slices while he was resting

Not the first time JG has went rogue. JG humiliated his team and himself. The tug on his face mask wasn’t to embarrass him it was to get his attention which seemed to be anywhere but on his coach.

Vol. Good analysis and a very good Post. I do think Pruitt is learning from his mistakes. He is a better coach at this point than he was last year at this point. The azz chewing on national TV was a mistake that Pruitt will learn from. You never see the great coaches (excepting Saban and even he has calmed down a bunch) do this in public. With BM's TBI we need JG to get us to a bowl. Pruitt made up for this mistake by covering for JG in the press conference. It was awesome to watch a competitive game for the last two weeks. GBO
TBI? WTF? CJP did what should have been done during the first quarter of the Ga St game.

OMFG. I thought you were supposed to be some big time anarchist. Anarchy would eat you for lunch.

So the national sports media, who mostly share the same brain and haven’t had an original thought since the football phone was introduced, have decided Pruitt tugging JGs face mask for a half second is tantamount to assault. It’s all over Twitter. They are climbing over each other to wave their virtue flags. It’s pathetic.

Here are a few words for the media: moist panty curd flap squirt.

There's some heat on him. Did he mess up? Can you touch a player? He did jerk a knot into that kid. What will happen?

Thank goodness his boss isn't the Bama game officiating crew. He'd be in jail for that aggressiveness.

Pruitt could lose his job for this one.. NFL coaches dont even do that. The fact that he did that on National TV. What if that was your son? This situation is bigger than football.
This is pretty serious. It's 2019 not 2010. Even Mike Leach got fired for stuff like this.

but he continues to mess up. At what point will he stop messing up and going rouge changing plays as if he knows better than the coaches.

It's not serious at all, this happens all the time. He didn't even jerk his mask like MANY coaches have but somehow since Pruitt grabbed his with 2 fingers your hollering like a snowflake. Pruitt is in NO trouble so take your crap somewhere else. GBO!!!!!

He physically pulled his head down. How is his parents responding? There's no way to say he didn't yank him. He did. Was it that serious? The decision makers will decide. And the media will be influencial.

If it makes you neckbeards vilifying Pruitt feel any better, Bryce Thompson tweeted a defense of Pruitt saying that he was coaching and the tug was justified. Stop virtue signaling. It was a light tug. If any of you actually care to pay attention to the sideline camera during games, you'll notice JG has a knack for ignoring looking the coaches in the eye when they are talking to him, and sometimes, such as this instance, JG tries to walk right by them and completely ignore them.

Pruitt was trying to get his attention and give him a much needed lesson on his mistake. Stop being soft. Once JG graduates and fails to make the NFL, he'll find out just how not soft the world is to you. Pruitt is just teaching the kid.

What you're describing is your QB son calling an audible. It happens every week and you're really calling it "selfish, disrespectful and without any regard to his teammates"?

You're damn right I'm calling it selfish! He took it upon HIMSELF to be a f-ing hero instead of doing what he SHOULD have done and run the damn play!! His TEAMMATES were fighting their asses off, trying to win the game... and Guarantano pulls some stupid stunt! YES... Selfish!
