I have railed many times about how the Dad is ALWAYS the bumbling idiot ...on every commercial and TV show...Dad is always blamed for "fatherless" homes...when many times living with and marrying Mom was never an option from day 1.... this current system is geared against Dad from Day 1, yet somehow he is always 1st in line when looking for someone to blame, or if it all goes sideways. This is further complicated for a Christian...as the Bible says that Dad is responsible not just for his own sins, but those of his children until they reach the age of accountability...generally considered early teen years. Often times those kids arent even in his home or under his control 90% of the time. Meanwhile , all the negative stats compiled for kids raised in fatherless homes continue to get worse across all races and ranges of income...

This is true. Unless there mother is then dads usually get the shaft.
My ex ( whew long story) father of my oldest got his support dropped to more than half at my request. The judge thought I was nuts after all he put me through. He had a right to have a life even though we did not work out. She decided at 15 the grass was greener at her dad's. After some time and discussion, I let her go to his house to live. The next week i got court papers and he was suing me for child support, the full amount.
I thought so much for doing what is right. It was the right thing to do and my conscious is clear.

I will add one thing. Does it really matter at this point if these white kids in the protests were paid or bussed in? Does it matter if they are just loser kids living in mom's basement or just a bunch of potheads bouncing in and out of college? I've heard every excuse or reason in the book over the last few weeks about these protesters/ANTIFA/BLM... the fact is, this wouldn't have even been conceivable just a decade ago. You now have a significant number of young people in that generation that not only don't believe in the American Dream, but now they are actually fighting against those institutions. That is a problem. A huge problem that needs to be addressed IMMEDIATELY! If this country is going to survive in the future and resemble something that is close to the American ideal, you can't have a large number of the next generation embracing nihilism, fascism, leftist identity politics, alternative families and disdain for organized religion.

This country needs to start be rebuilding families in ALL communities and figure it out pronto, else the republic is going to spiral down the toilet in 2-3 decades.

I agree with most of that as well. Except for the drugs, weed is fine, but the harder drugs need to be illegal imo. We need to increase treatment options but those drugs destroy lives from trafficking to end use and everywhere in between..

My wife and I actually attended a protest/rally put on by Gwinnett County educators today. Very upbeat, professional, and well attended. Saw lots of two parent families with kids.
The most surprising thing to me........not one of the speakers ever even mentioned Trump.

More just pleasantly surprised. It was a foregone conclusion that pretty much everyone there disliked Trump.

Former full time officer not current. There has been a steady decrease in qualified officer candidates for a myriad of reasons the past 20 years as several older officers have left for either more lucrative better paid positions (like me) or retired all together. This has lead to severe staffing shortages which increases crimes/issues in some areas (KPD and KCSO currently are staffed at around 65%). In bigger cities out west the average call for service response time for “regular calls” by police is about 45-55 min. That’s crazy

The issue (much like doctors/nurses/teachers isn’t right now but in 10-15 years from now.

What the Hell is wrong with people? What kind of kids are "we" raising? By we, I mean Americans...not me. My kids fear and respect God, their parents, and this Country ...and Love all 3. God, Family, Country. We arent the only ones doing it right...I know that, because the other kids that go to school with mine and their parents seem to all be good people with good morals....

I am admittedly blind to what goes on in public schools and big cities though...

Speaking only for myself, I came from a family of 4 children and of the 4, my brother was so different that people actually questioned whether he was from the same family. He stayed in constant trouble with the law and became an addict until his death many years ago.
I now have 4 adult children of my own with one ideologically the polar opposite of the others. Back in the day we called them black sheep and lot of people just accepted them as random outliers. Personally I believe social media has spawned the current crop of misfits coupled with the SJW indoctrination in public education.

The group gathered at Legislative Plaza and marched down 2nd Avenue before stopping on Broadway, chanting, and kneeling for 8 minutes and 46 seconds. The protesters marched back to Legislative Plaza where there was a brief rally and then a march around the Capitol. Protesters chanted for hours on Legislative Plaza after the march was over. So far, Saturday’s demonstrations remained peaceful.

A few protesters remain outside the Capitol after taking over Legislative Plaza on Friday night. Some stayed the night Friday into Saturday at the ‘Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone’ despite warnings from Governor Bill Lee that it would not be tolerated. So far, only one person has been arrested after refusing to move from the middle of Broadway after protesters had left the area.
