Don't be surprised when they next turn their attention to the American flagWho has that flag terrorized in this century? I mean, I get it. I understand that to some it's symbolic of a time that was not great in our country. But I think the idea that it currently "terrorizes" anyone is far-fetched. More accurate to say it stokes outrage, and people have the right to be offended. But again, when people say CK is disrespecting the Stars and Stripes, the side you occupy has no problem saying "get over it". So why is that only supposed to work one way? Seems to me like people just want their way and don't want to compromise or find a solution where every one can be happy. It's like watching little children bicker. I keep expecting someone to hold their breath until they get their way. Personally, I'm just over it. All these calls for "equality" and "fairness", yet no one wants to work together. Pointless.
I don't know, I guess I see terrorism as a perpetual state of fear. I don't think what we've seen is all about instilling that fear. It's ass hats acting out who deserve to be punished, but I just don't see it as fear-inducing based action. What is your definition of terrorism? Burning down buildings and destroying businesses is not peaceful protest?
Your question was about who it has terrorized this century. The answer is there are people still alive in this century who have been terrorized by it. It absolutely had power during their livesThe KKK are idiots. Should we also ban crosses since they would burn them in people's yards? Not being a smart ass, just saying I think people are giving more power to something than it deserves. But whatever.
it does bother me and everyone else. There are sanctions against those countries. But why are you more concerned about righting what is wrong in foreign countries as opposed to what is going on here at home. Judging from you answer, there is nothing wrong with what is going on in the US.as much as any other "descendants" of slaves. But the fact there is currently still slavery should be what bothers you, not perceived microaggressions and fake racism
I am not one who says "nothing" is wrong within the U.S. I am saying that some issues are blown way out of proportion and made to be a bigger deal than they actually areit does bother me and everyone else. Just admit that white people suck and all will be forgiven. The current thinking is that black people are all good and white people are all bad. Bow down and kiss the ring.I am not one who says "nothing" is wrong within the U.S. I am saying that some issues are blown way out of proportion and made to be a bigger deal than they actually are
Ryan Blaney, Kyle Busch, Jimmie Johnson and Bubba Wallace end association with helmet designer after Confederate flag tweetsGod, I hope that will make it to the TV.
Looks like NASCAR has succeeded in dividing its people. That's not a good thing. They should strive to be inclusive and not divisive. The day may come when people protest the flying of the American flag because we're a racist nation, founded upon slavery, only country to nuke another etc, etc. There'll be no end to this
When it was used by the kkk. The wannabe rebs
I'm sure there will be a jump in Confederate Flag sales since someone told them it was a divisive symbol. It's their freedom to knowingly fly the flag representing the divided states and having pride in that same divisiveness. Some southern pride BSLooks like NASCAR has succeeded in dividing its people. Personally I believe in freedoms. I think no flags should be banned. I think people should be free to fly a BLM flag, an NAACP flag, a MAGA flag or whatever.
