Zandy Koufax…the hero we had all along. What a dern story. What he’s done the last 6 outings, while not as dominating, is every bit as impressive as Skenes’ big run last year. We only lost 1 game he pitched in all season. For perspective:

•Beats SC on the last day of conference play to win a share of the regular season title
•Beats Vandy to send us to the tournament finals
•Beats Southern Miss to win the regionals
•Beats Evansville to win the supers and send us to Omaha
•Beats FSU to send us to the CWS Finals
•Beats TAMU to win the National Championship

I didn't think he'd be our Sunday guy all year. I thought he'd start out that way and then Schaeffer or Dallas would take that spot. All he did was take the spot and put up the most legendary pitching season, from a clutch perpective, in Vol history.
