UF ignored him. They were in the mode of protecting the deep areas to speed the game up.Most catches on the team vs our first SEC opponent isn't stepping up?
I am not complaining or condemning. I'm proud that he was able to get in and make some plays. I think he has a bright future. But he has to do more than quick outs and being a safety valve.
I don't care who the production comes for... I don't care if ZR never plays another down. But if another WR could do what ZR is capable of at this point then they would have been out there instead of him.Zach Rogers has 5 catches on the SEASON, multiple drops, and a terrible fumble vs Montana.
Arnett has 8 catches in one game, and no drops. If he is going to sit in the soft zone and catch 4-5 yarders all day I'll take it.
That's what I am trying to tell you. Teams aren't going to respect that. He needs to have a bigger game to keep from being defended AND more importantly to make the opponents' gameplanning against the UT passing game more difficult.
I love his hands. That was considered his second biggest asset after his route running. I believe that the staff was going to work him in more progressively over the season. Now... he has a huge opportunity... and challenge... in front of him.
