Ramar penatrates well to the basket and he's great a drawing the fouls, that's the one aspect i really like about him...every thing else is just...blah

And doesn't finish or hit his free throws when he does penetrate. Very frustrating...

I would feel a lot better about him if we were hearing stories like we hear about Lofton, last man to leave practice, first to show up.

last statement very good one.
also good guards should shoot 80%+...true pt guards should shoot 85-90%.
not many true pure ft shooters anymore though..almost lost art....and they come into play in 75% of games.
coaches from middle school to nba don't emphasize the practice enough.
rule of thumb should be for fts

guards 85% +
fowards 75%
centers 70%
some pipe dream but you work on it at end of practice and make the guys hit certain amount of fts and such and it becomes second nature.

Bad point guards are the number 1 reason we're not going to win the title. There are many others.

Ramar still has to learn the game of basketball not all the Harlem Globetrotter wanna be passes and shots he gets into like today in the first half. However, I felt he played much better in the 2nd half minus the 2 free throws. I thought making the layup and having it wiped off on a charge hurt him down the stretch. It was a tough call and changed the momentum of the game. Jordan Howell has just bottomed out. If he can play any worse please save it until next year in the City League games. I think we can go deep into the tournament but have to get more production from the point.

I have absolutely no idea why, and I'm sure I will get ridiculed for this, but I have a strange feeling Howell will play awful until the Elite 8, (assuming they get there) and all of a sudden he will catch fire against a superior defensive team, and the whole board will wonder what the **** happened.

It can't happen, it's Howell.:p

give Tanner Wild playing time!

Haha, I bet he or Quinn Cannington could be decent stopgaps if Bruce thought it was necessary to send a message for a possession or two.
I'd much rather see that than ever watch The Steven Pearl show.

That being said, I really don't think it's as dire as things seem. Jordan needs confidence, and Ramar needs to find the flow of the game. Last year he was thrown into the fire and reacted. This year he hasn't had the same success. They'll face the music come crunch time. (Hopefully the music will involve a certain lyric about a shining moment.)

Interesting. We lose and some people want to take the wheels off the band wagon. Disappointing loss but the team is not falling apart.

I wish Ramar would have taken the last shot. I wish I could find the last 20 seconds on line somewhere. Ramar was 5 ft from the basket. Chism was about 5 ft away on the right side of the basket. I don't know where Tyler and JaJuan were. I think Ramar should have pulled up and shot a 5 ft jumper or dished it off to Chism. Lofton had 2 guys on him and looked like was bumped around while trying to take the shot. I just don't think he was our best option, but with only 2 seconds left you can't fault for the judgment. I would just like to see it in slow motion.

There wasn't time to get the ball to Ramar. There were two Razorbacks in a direct line between Chris and Ramar, anyway. There's no way he could have made the pass. There was a man on Chism's hip. JaJuan and Tyler Smith were isolated behind the arc, but there was no time to get them the ball.

Jordan Howell is easily the worst player in America getting significant minutes on a top 20 team.
