Missouri roll call

Thanksgiving is a killer this year. Hit Harpos downtown, and ifor you need paring and good fun, park at 929 S Providence (white house). Baldy will feed you and you can use the bathrooms during a fun tailgate (as fun as a dead town can be). I'll be cruising over there at 4 or so.
Just pulled in to the White House in Providence. Baldy is great. $40 to park two blocks from the stadium and have a fun atmosphere before kick off. Thanks Super Dave!

Just want to say thanks to Super Dave (Model12), Dana and Rachel for inviting a total stranger to their tailgate last night. That’s what I absolutely love about VolNation. It was my first Tennessee road game and I had no idea where to go but Dave and his crew took care of that.
Special thanks to Baldy on Providence for being so hospitable. This will forever be my destination as long as it’s an option anytime UT comes to Columbia.
Great win to make us bowl eligible in an awesome sea of orange behind the Vol bench.

I trust you were able to find a place to sit....
Lol. I found all of them I wanted. I started in my actual seats on the Missouri side, 2nd row around the 20 yard line. GREAT seats but staring at the sea of orange on the opposite side while surrounded by Mizzou fans made me feel left out so we made our way to the Tennessee side and found seats that were just as good. Plenty to choose from but that didn’t take a single thing away from last night. It was a great night. Lots of fun with a lot of great Vol fans who made the trip.

Looked very empty on TV.

I was there. We stayed in STL, Sat in the "Tiger Lounge"

Fans were possibly the nicest fans I have ever encountered.

Flew home today.

Great time, great trip and a few hours to recover before work tomorrow.

What’s the estimate for # Vols fans in the stands?
Announced attendance was 49,300 and that seemed generous. I'd estimate maybe 8k Tennessee fans.

Saw all sorts of comments here about what a dump the town was. I didn't see that at all. Small college town with a decent strip of restaurants, bars and shops right off campus. Was certainly dead because of the upcoming holidays but not the worst SEC city I've been to, that designation belongs to the other Columbia.

This was my first ever away game but I have to agree with previous poster in that those Missourians were some of the nicest fans.

Seems that during conversations, they still feel themselves as with the Big X teams. Said they hated losing their rivalry with Kansas.7B09CA07-464A-46EC-931E-6F17AC885523.jpeg

Agree about the other Columbia being a dump. It's terrible. We didn't see much of the town, but it seemed alright.

Also echo the sentiment about the fans. I expected them to be a little annoying, but they were only pleasant and welcoming.

It was a good trip, but not as good as previous ones. Thanksgiving vacation killed the party. Next time is October so that will be perfect. Send me a PM or email and let's stay in touch for the next trip. Dave Winniemodel12@gmail.com
