Milton & the last play

He didn't throw Milton under the bus; he basically said you need to get the ball in the endzone.

Of course not, he sold out lock, stock, and barrel on Milton. It's a credit to Hooker and Bailey they both stuck around. Not a doubt in my mind Bailey is a much better QB even in this offense than was Milton at the outset. Hooker clearly was, Heupel has to hide Bailey to keep it from being so obvious IMO.

Give me a break. Our coach is not Voldemort or Emperor Palpatine. Somebody kick Remy in the cods and deter him again.

That must be some hangover from last night.

One of the knocks on Milton is that he is scared to get hit. I wasn't sold on that, but that last play changed my mind.

He ran out of bounds with no time left. It wasn't close. I still can't believe I saw him just give up like that. Whoever has the ball last HAS to leave it all on the field trying to get to that end zone.

I'm just stunned he did that. What are your thoughts? Not as big a deal as I'm feeling now?

I don't feel confident in him going forward.

He is softer than a down comforter.

Absolutely no situational awareness, he has a cannon but that's it!

We would be remiss if we didn't take a moment to say hi to the Michigan fans who are no doubt lurking around in here right now.

Good evening, fellow strugglers. Glad to see things are going well for you these days.

Yes, you told us so.

Now back to Big Orange football.

I personally wish they would have ran “the Dobb Nail Boot” the situation was perfect for it. We don’t have a Jujaun but surely one of our tall guys has some dog in him….

What happened is he threw a good pass to Tillman who didn't have enough gas to jump up for it, so the next play it was a pass or run option. The field opened up in front of him and he ran. His mistake was, when he saw the defense collapse on him, he ran out "hoping" there would be enough time left for one more try.... there was no more time left, and he should have went for the endzone because he was the biggest kid on the field. So, it was a mistake, and a lot of people are pretty upset over that decision to run out of bounds with no more time left. He was put in an almost impossible spot, after tillman missed the previous play in the endzone.

Agreed, people are complaining for no reason other than they are upset about the loss. If most people would take a step back and realize the amount of talent we are playing with at the moment is the bottom 3-4 in the conference. The fact that we even had a chance to win late speaks volumes about this coaching staff compared to the previous two. Our oline that we put out there for the game was MAC level, I am not sure what some of y'all realistically expected.

It's not unrealistic to think we could have won that game... we could have, but you have to be put in a position to win, and that was a no win situation. It started from beginning of the game, and ended with the temper tantrum at the end. There was some bad calls, and some cheating going on, but I told y'all that was coming, and we had to over come it. We had oportunities, but the spot that set off the riot was the correct spot, that was well documented. People were really worked up because they thought there would be over 80 points scored, and all the "experts" were telling them so. Don't listen to the experts, and stop betting on games... you are playing against the mob, and you won't win.

Y'all ever been to a casino or play scratch offs? They always let you win a little scratch at first, to keep you coming back, and then they take you for all you are worth.

The only team to beat Ole Piss this season held Coral to 3 yards rushing. We let him run wild.
That said, I'm amazed at what this staff has done with so little to work with on D.

Milton and the last play of the game. 🤔🤔 I can’t help but hear Milton repeat the words of Forrest Gump, “I’m not a smart man”. Yeah Forrest, I mean Milton, we know.

The play started with only 3 seconds on the clock. Anybody has to know if the play starts with 3 seconds left in the game, you can't scramble around then run to the sideline and step out with time still on the clock.

Agreed. It was a clearly missed "Josh Dobbs to Jauan Jennings" opportunity.

Realistically we expected not to play Milton who’s not even MAC level as a QB
